Has anybody got these and how do they compare to H2h at or around that lv? Also are Destoyers still a good H2H after these came out?
By the time you can use Metasoma Katars (Lv88) there are many options better than Destroyers. Per Kinematics' Lvl 80 weapon comparisons thread Lv80 Taipan Fangs with no mods beats Destroyers.
Given that by the time you can use Metasoma Katars you might as well be 90, I'd suggest posting in the Lvl 90 weapon comparisons thread to get an idea of how they compare and what other weapons are good options.

I have them, they suit me since I still havent got any of the magian/relic/mythic h2h. If you want these serious prepare to spend a long time trying to get these or have gil and buy them.
Beyond relic/mythic/magians(some really easy options). you can also:
A) Furor Cesti drop from a fairly weak NM, that also drops a 100k+ pop item.
B) turn in dominion credits for Savate fists with up to dmg 24, only 51 delay, and up to crit rate +4%. plus any bad ones npc for 6-7k gil. not like you're using notes for much else besides the occasional screen.
The second options is at worst, free. and at best, easy money.

Quick question for anyone who has got these. Does it make a difference which mobs you kill to try and get the chests? I've been down in garlaige for ages with no luck yet.

ive been down there all week with no luck. i was wondering if only chests from the level 90-96 mobs would have the katars but nothing on wiki says that. just "brown chests in garlaige" so idk. i have picked up a few lvl 75 pieces and killed lolserket a few times. its oddly been fun actually. tonight i might try just killing the high level mobs.
