Ammo: Tantra (its 100% anyone can get this lmao)
Head: Genbu's
Neck: can get the 4 vit one from campaign
Ears: you need kemas anyways, its cheap, or go kill the nm with a seal party.
Body: AF1
Hands: AF2
Rings: topaz are fine, though the 5 vit rings are like 60k now.
Back: melee cape is easy enough if you know of any shells doing cop still lol, otherwise beak mantle i think has 2 vit.
Waist: Warwolf Belt
Legs: kensei are 5 vit but cost a lot, other then that you get some 2 vit pants for 40k~
Feet: Power Sandals are still the best.


you can make a really good set with minimal effort. I have actually sold a lot of my chakra gear as of late though bc abys is a joke for curing and im inv. caped. I suggest you spend your gil and time making a killer -pdt set as it will actually be useful.

Duoed mine last night as MNK/NIN and WHM/RDM. I would recommend /WAR instead of /NIN cause it AOEs constantly, I was just on /NIN and it aggro'd as we were running to Berstuk. Also, I would recommend wearing some -PDT gear since you get hit constantly, but you can probably do without. Don't use Counterstance here. I used Razed Ruins and Voracious Violet, and WHM use Minikin Monstrosity and Ambition. Stand with your back to the wall for knockback, and your mage needs to stand back from AOEs. It does a move which inflicts slow and terror and also seems like a hate reset, so your mage needs to be prepared with buffs on themselves. It constantly inflicts stun and amnesia, so it can be a little bit of a grind. I'd recommend popping a fanatics/stalwart/champions and 2hring the last 20% or so, just to finish it off quickly and safely.

Edit:

Kemas Earring would also be a really easy duo with a WHM if you had decent atmas (refresh atmas being the most important I would think). You can pull Cep-Kamuy to a nearby cliff near the flytrap mobs, have the WHM on top and the MNK down. Just beat it down. It drops WHM leg seals, so its not like the WHM doesn't get anything out of it.

Furthermore, go get a Spiral Ring off of Avalerion. It is yet another thing a WHM and MNK can duo. I did it before I had anything but synthetic atmas at 85.

I will have to try soloing him Blu, because while everyone seems to have a pocket WHM, I honestly know -zero- whms. I have a RDM friend with no Atma outside of Full Moon(Windurst) a Blu friend(who is often busy) and a Nin friend (no combat Atma).

I currently run Monk with RR+SScythe. 3rd Lunar is an impossibility for me but meh.

I just yesterday got into Monk tanking... gotta say I love it. Did a pitiful mob(Avalerion) as Mnk/Nin with a Blu/Nin healing me. Blu died on hate reset but I solo'd it from 20% np. Today I tanked Sobek until Death, then nin took over. Right before I unweakened he Death'd the Nin, killed the Blm, I took to tanking but Blizzaga IV dropped me to 100hp, then he killed the rdm, then I solo'd to 7% when he used Paralyga+Bellow(stun) D: but! I LOVE tanking hence why I made this Chakra question~

So unless you have a maat's cap, the most you're going to get is 6 in that slot if not considering genbucket.

Genbu was never really hard to kite-solo. You shouldn't have many problems on PUP.

Kinda funny that of all the R/E gear from sky, the bucket hat (likely the one piece that most any MNK who has done much sky already has by default) is the one that as of today is the most irreplaceable.

I came to endgame MNK somewhat late in the game, and I never did sky when it was popular. I didn't really miss Shura Togi thanks to Mirke, and now lots of other options. Bought an Osode long ago. Thought I'd always be upset I didn't have Byakko's Haidate, but Tantra+1 (and some day +2) wiped my tears away. But there's nothing even close to that damn Kabuto.

Guess it's time for me to go take out a turtle by myself.

I was inspired by a good Chakra-macro weekend though. Stingy Temenos North finally gave me the last upgrade item I needed for Temple Cyclas +1 while soloing on Friday. Redid group 1 merits to 5/5 Chakra Recast (paired with 5/5 Counter Rate) on Saturday. And got the Tantra Tathlum on Sunday (not that it increases my VIT from the old Bibiki Seashell, but still...)

Duoed Genbu 7 times now with my Wifes Rdm. Takes longer to farm pop items than kill him, and thats mainly the fault of Zip. Also done Mnk and Whm. He's doesnt hit that hard or fast, ( esp if your rdm has Slow II )
