Ding 75, and Ascetic's Fury!

I have finally acquired all 5 pieces of relic gear for MNK. There's an interesting sense of accomplishment in that.

We had our Dynamis Xarcabard zone jacked on Wednesday but a no talent bought-5-accounts-because-4-got-banned hack was shouting for a pickup Dynamis and completely ignored the central Asura website because "it doesn't apply to Xbox players", so last night, our LS leader decided to take whomever was interested on a loMan run through Xarcabard.

We saw BLM, WHM, and MNK drop, as well as a Jadeshell, so for 11 people, we did very well for ourselves.

I'm now 5/5 on the Melee Gear set. That's just too cool for school.

Finally reached Wings Medal and got Cobra Subligar, bought Fuma's, got my Hakutaku cluster synthed, and reached about half-way to Asuran Fists.

So right now I am waiting for:

-My DRG cousin to get his Spear of Trials so we can close Light and get points faster.
-People to answer my shouts for Hakutaku
-To get a large amount of KS's for Destroyers


My plans for the future:

-Try and get some SMN's or PUP's to solo Golden Salvage a million times for me so I can get PFC or to see if my cousins want to do that "kill all the worms" assault mission. That way, I can either get P.Body to last me until Mirke or sell Potent Belts.
-Get P.Pants from the PFC Mamool mission.
-Do ACP.
-Get more scrolls to sell so I can get Amemet+1 and Tiphia Sting.
-Force my DRG cousin to solo more Light SC's with me so I can unlock Destroyers when I get them

Could always talk your local blm into soloing Double Dragon for you, I got mine by soloing it on my second try (I won both times, the Destroyers didn't drop on the first time). Tell him, he can have the drops/chest money or something. I'd say come to bahamut and I'll get you a pair, but Bahamut is closed =C

Edit: as this is an accomplisment thread, I gotta post something. I got my 4th H2H merit earlyer today! Only 4 more to go, and then 1 Crit Rate Merit, and all the Job Merits!

Throw one in formless strikes anyway. It's useful in dynamis, limbus, and most especially on slime floors in Nyzul.

not major but I sold my woodsman ring for 150k and got a Sniper for 141k.



I thought woods were supposed to be cheaper than snipers...

I got my Mirke body last night (ACC + ATT) as well as an Angel ring with +7hp, +5acc, and some useless pet stats. All in all a great night. :)

Broke my Trial Knuckles last night, gunna try and get my LS to kill Bodach today :)


Then, I'm not sure what I'll do. Probably get the ~7k exp I need to get to 72, shout for O.Hat runs, or see if I can force some SMN/PUPs to solo golden salvage for me. 80% chance it will be the first one, though, depending on if I can get my LS to kill Bodach at a reasonable time or not.

Kitty pants finally

Was stuck on 16% Haste for a long long long time. Most day's i'd think how proper BB mnk's have a whole March song's worth of Haste more than me. Not the case anymore tho.

It feels good.

75! I'm pretty sexy for a ding, I have to admit.

Done with Finals, WOOOO!!! Now I can play FFXI again! Asuran Fists, here I come!

Beating ACP and getting a Mirke body made me cry in joy. Oh and about 300 points from Ascetics fury!

Finally finished Usukane Sune-Ate which puts me 3/5, need head/body.
and duo'd the kensei sitabaki nm to get drop and i know have +54 vit on chakra :D

Now merit VIT to break 500! Not sure if it would be enough though.

Destroyers finally! 1/8

It's funny you should mention that, Acturus. I just had an experience where I setup my Limbus group by dividing it into small parties so we could multi-zone. My group consisted of WHM, BRD, MNK (me), MNK with BB, WAR, BLU doing NE Apollyon.

So we get to the zone with monkeys and Gigas, and as luck would have it, we have to kill Cronos to get the portal to open (only vulnerable to magic damage). I'm like, "No problem, this is why I chose two of us to come on monk. The plan is we both Formless Strikes, 2hr, then hit the SP chest and do it again." The other monk (the one with BB) says, "Uh... I don't have that merited." This lead to a moment of stunned silence from me, just 'cause I figured since he had both a BB and more than one Usukane piece, by now he'd have unlocked it. (Even situationally, going from being able to deal 0 to being able to deal 75% of your normal damage is an infinite improvement for only 3 merits and one lost upgrade, right?) I didn't want him to feel bad (and I felt dumb for assuming), so I told him not to sweat it in party chat... and then sent him a private /tell asking if he could consider unlocking it to help us out. :P

Solution: I Formless-ed, 2hr'd, then the bard 2hr March, March-ed me for an essentially 2nd round of fast damage, then we hit the SP chest for a rinse and repeat. (The BLU set some breath spells and got in there for some damage and I think the WHM might have popped a Solace-pumped Holy in there too.)

So we won the run but it was much closer than it should of been (with something like 3min left at the end).

Moral of the story: There is none, but I'm rating you up for unlocking this. :P
