Up until level 57 I equipped a Purple belt. I then realized I could solo each and everyone of those NMs for my Brown Belt. Took me a total of 3 days to complete my Purple Belt, build enough fame for Brown Belt quest and then claiming all 3 NMs.

Last November 2007, I joined Censura LS and began working towards my Black Belt. On the 22nd of December we did KS99 Behemoth and got my tongue through that. The next day while camping KB, Adamantoise had popped with no one in zone to claim. I went with few of Censura members, pulled Adamantoise, tanked him and viola! Egg drops. 2/3 now.

I take a 1 month break on January to level my BLM, come back to doing events almost religiously and we get a Nidhogg claim in February 2008. Beard of course drops but was given to another member since I have lost priority due to my month long break. This kind of crushes my spirit but because I happen to be with such a solid LS, this helped keep me going and hopeful.

Few weeks pass and one of our Faf claims happen to drop another beard. Unfortunately I was not in game due to school and had to hear it from everyone. The very next day, March 1, 2008, another claim on Faf which resulted in another beard dropping! Hurray, Dista obtains a Wyrm Beard...[moments later] Dista obtains a Black Belt!

December 22, 2007: Behemoth Tongue - KS99
December 23, 2007: Adamantoise Egg - Adamantoise
March 1, 2008: Wyrm Beard - Fafnir
March 1, 2008: BLACK BELT! ! !

Thank you Censura!

Got Osode on Friday night :D

Then got 300 TP, and opened with an 1191 Dragon Kick on Bomb Queen yesterday and ended up tanking 90% of the fight. Not a huge accomplishment, but pretty fun nonetheless.

Edit: Oooh didn't see the post above me. Congrats Orn! :D

Thanks Lynchilles, now I am working on setting up a KRT static on my server. It seems a lot of the older players want to do it just no one was taking the time to get it started.

Grats on getting an Osode and tanking of bomb queen.

I've been camping Kirata for the last week. All I've accomplished so far is to remind me how much I hate NM camping. He's a stingy cat.

Discovered that I am quite capable of soloing caretakers in Sky while camping for Zip. Not even a fluke, did it 3x in a 45 minute span, then died to Zip who crept up behind me and had to watch another shell take him >< le'sigh.

Well, since 3/22/08 I've been doing good for myself. ^_^

3/22/08 my static with my THF whm proposed to me and I said yes! /blush

Yesterday I and 5 others beat CoP 2-5, using the ol' NIN + Mage combo for 2 of the mammets, and a NIN and myself (MNK) with /dnc for the third. We killed the first Mammet, helped with the stronger mammet, and the third dropped as the second dropped. ^_^

Also last night I was wandering around Castle Oztroja trying to figure out where Mee Deggi spawned, and found Quu Domi. 1/1 on him. ^_^

Myself on my Septonyte MNK25/WAR12 profile and a RDM25/SUM12 named Daegon on the Phoenix server set a new clear time record in the Black Dragon BCNM fight for my Bastok mission 2-3 to obtain rank 3. We had a third member but since he chose the opposite path for the same Bastok mission he couldn't enter.

After we learned the bad news we decided to duo it. Daegon opened up by blasting the dragon with sleep as is protocal for this fight while i provoked the spotter. We then focused on meleeing the spotter to death. I started out the fight with boost stacked five times and eating a Meat Mithkabob. After my first attack against the spotter I activated another boost, then Focus, then Dodge, and Hundred Fists.

After dispatching the spotter we quickly switced to the dragon while I called for a poison on the dragon. A few hits after my 100 fists wore off I hit 300% TP. I hit another boost and then 1-inch Punch and brought the dragon down to about 20% HP at the same time it cursed me. A few hits on it and cures for me later it was dead.

We both couldn't belive how much we rocked. The clear time was 4 minutes and 33 seconds. The three of us then traveled to Windurst to kill the other dragon for the third party member because a deal was a deal. Of course we had to wait long enough for my cursed **** to make it back to San d'Oria and get some holy water and then fly to Bastok to complete my mission by handing in the report, but by then my 100 fists had recharged and the other guy I mentioned earlier was also a MNK25/WAR12 so you can figure out the outcome (no record thoughSmiley: cry ) - it is the exact same fight but with a different named monster and dragon.

Victory'd Royal Jelly like 13 times with Monk, Monk, Ninja as our setup. Totally remember us sucking at this BCNM, to the point where no one would do this with a monk when I left game, so I'm chalking this up as a monk victory. In other news, closed out all important merits. =) Only guard (yes, I'm that bored) and HP merits to go. And maybe Penance. Maybe.

I tanked Cerberus on Firesday to get Captain! I rocked it with a solid evasion setup and sushi, with haste and swaps for utsu. Hades sainti ironically are a godsend for this.

Man, what a night tonight was! Tonight I got both my Byakko's Haidate, and my Genbu's Kabuto both! My hard work in my Sky LS(which, Ironically, me and a friend saved from dying off less then 3 weeks ago when we had to suddenly switch shells and lost half our membership) officially paid off tonight, and on top of that, I got my Haidate for the minimum Points required to bid as my Chief Rival is also my good friend who agreed not to jack the point cost on me, and the other 2 people who want it were not present. I also can now Chakra for 420 HP(a cure IV) with the addition of my G.kabuto, not counting my capped Invigorate.

Also, now that I have my kitty pants, and since I have removed Kick merits in order to lower Chakra recast down to 4:10(Because I solo/small group work more then anything else in the game), I went out and bought Fuma Sune-ate tonight, bringing my total haste equip to 21% while retaining +41.5 accuracy at all times, allowing me to eat meat at most camps and swing fast as ****. I can't wait to try out my new set-up in a Merit party!(Costly STR merits ftl!)

Grats, but imo, thats a big step forward and a medium sized step backwards. While in some situations it may pay off to have chakra 50 secs earlier, I can guarantee you won't be using it every single time the timer is up, so imo, its a waste.

To each their own I guess.

When I dinged 75 MNK several years ago, I remember borrowing an osode to *(&# around in and look beefy... I remembered thinking "this is the armor for me, when I have this for my own, I know I've made it big." Time passed... osodes were few and far between, and the opportunity for a togi came and was taken, and I never looked back -- but always liked the look and feel of an osode. 5 more jobs and innumerable merits later... as of last Friday I finally have one to call my own :D
