Hello everyone!

With all the triple attack % THF gets, how much double attack % is too much to get conflicting procs? Here's my gear:

-Thokcha
-Oynos knife
-Ziska's crossbow
-Acid bolts
-Raider's bonnet+2 (+3% TA)
-Portus Collar (+3% DA)
-Brutal earring (+5% DA)
-Suppanomini
-Thaumas coat (+ 3% DA/TA/QA)
-Thaumas gloves
-Epona's ring (+3% DA/TA)
-Rajas ring
-Atheling mantle (+3% DA)
-Twilight belt (+2% DA)
-Thaumas kecks
-Thaumas nails (+3% DA)

Which brings me to +22% DA,+9% TA and +3% QA just from the gear, not counting TA % from our job trait/merits, should I switch some double attack % out or not?

Current tests strongly suggest that Triple Attack proc rate has a higher priority than Double Attack (and Quadruple Attack a higher priority than Triple), so the amount of Double Attack gear you have will not negatively impact your Triple Attack rate. For example.

When attacking, your amount of Quadruple Attack will be assessed first, and if the "roll" determines that a Quadruple Attack will take place that swing, that will cancel out the chances of a Triple or a Double Attack from that same attack. If the roll determines that a Quadruple Attack will not take place, then Triple Attack will be assessed the same way (if Triple Attack procs, then Double Attack cannot). Lastly, if a Triple Attack does not take place, then Double Attack's proc rate will be assessed.

These calculations are determined for both the main hand and the offhand for dual wielding.

That being said, I'm fairly certain that Rancor Collar pushes ahead of Portus Collar for Thief due to just how much Triple Attack you have going for you.

I actually prefer the nefarious collar and rancor mantle over atheling and rancor collar.

8% crit rate and 17 attack
versus
5% crit rate, 3% double attack, 20attack

canceling out like stats you have

3% crit rate versus +3 attack and + 3% double attack

Is trading off 3 atk and 3% DA rate worth a 3% increase in melee crit rate? I think so. The DoT is close to two percent stronger, so the only difference is the potential weaponskill frequency 3% DA rate will grant you. As vlor said, we already have a high TA rate and I have DA coming in from epona's and brutal, and a lot more when I /war. No thaumas like some do, but I'm saving plans for skadi's cuirie +1 anyway so I'll use that whenever I get it instead. My point is though, that the DA rate is very unlikely to make up for the difference in DoT between the two combos. Especially with human error and over tping by X degree beyond 100% factored in.
