Hello,

What is the best way to skill up evasion right now? I am currently at 332. Would it be best to just continue pulling hate in abby?

thanks

I just did THF/DNC with Gnarled Horn and either the 10 or 20/hp tic atma (I only have access to 2 atma atm) on the Sand Doll Dom Ops in Altepa. They have pretty poor aim and you dont take much damage. With the 10/hp tic and DS2, you hardly ever even need to use CW3. Even if they are IT, they are pretty easy to solo (just make sure you have a stun key ready, as I have died once when they exploded). The T-VT are super simple and still make your skill ups happen quite often (3-5k exp per Dom Op doesn't hurt either, with a chance of body seals as well).

Actually, there is a very quick and easy way to level evasion. This is how you do it:

1. Make sure you have at least 150 Resistance Credits and go to the Bastion Prefect in any of the Scars zones (Abyssea - Attohwa, Abyssea - Misareaux, or Abyssea - Vunkerl) and buy a fanatic's drink.

2. Find a mob in the zone that has a high attack rate and is aggressive (I used chigoes in Attohwa).

3. Flee pull all of the mobs.

4. Once you get a safe distance, use the fanatic's drink and sit there getting hit for 0 dmg and massive skillups (can get anywhere from 8-15 levels of skill for the 1 minute the drink lasts).

Note: if you want to play it safe you could use perfect dodge either during the pull or afterwards to milk all the time from the 1 minute drink

Edit: Had a brain **** and put 3 minutes instead of 1 minute, thanks for pointing that out Fynlar

This is by far the most effecient way. However, I like to AE burn for key items using them so I was getting skill ups and boss pops.

Pros to that are way more gil/drops.

Cons of course being it works WAY better with a WHM who just spams cure V/VI on you so you go nonstop.

Drink only lasts 1 minute. You can use a Fanatic's Powder if you have one of those too, to add another minute.

Fanatic's Tonic I believe does not provide immunity to physical damage, just a 50% reduction.

I capped my evasion when I was 85, by pulling 4-5 mandys at A Tahrongi, in an exp party with a very good whm. Mandys I believe are either monk or have double attack or both. Spamming AE to keep hate.

They're MNKs. Chigoes in abyssea - Attohwa are even better too. Set atma of gales, ultimate, another MAB or PDT atma, you're golden.
