so i'm slowly running out of things to improve my thf, while looking through my options i started to think. What about all the add effect Kilas that are out there?

Weakens attacks
impairs evasion
lowers accuracy
lowers magic evasion
lowers magic attack
weakens defense
lowers magic defense
lowers magic accuracy

i think the weakens defense is kinda out of the question because acid bolts do the same thing for much less work. but which of the others would you recommend getting? u was thinking lowers acc and impairs evasion. i'd do them all if they would be useful, any insight would help ^^

Of the list of "utility" Kila's I'm inclined to say only two of them would be useful, and those are "lowers magic evasion" and "Lower's magic attack". The thing is that magic attack can be offset by MDT/MDB armor and a mage to the point it's probably unnecessary and I'm not sure how much magic evasion is lowered, but there is a kila to raise your own magic accuracy as well. Since mages aren't going to be "missing" their spells once they cap their skill and a ninja main also won't miss kurayami with capped skill we're really considering our own half level ninjutsu skill, in which case the kilas to raise our own magic accuracy are probably going to be more useful. That said, if kurayami is what we're after we're still going to need assistance from magic accuracy atmas and gear, so much so that I've taken the general stance "if it's kurayami oh well" and move on with my standard atmas. I'll try and keep a ninja main nearby if I need kurayami, but that's only necessary on three elemental days and higher tier mobs. T1 and to an extent T2 mobs are so easy to spawn that it's easier to just pop another than worry about a specific setup so long as you cover most of the triggers. In my opinion the most useful kilas are str/atk, dex/acc, agi/eva, mnd/mdb, vit/pdt and int/matk. A note of int/m atk though. Martial Knife is a LOT better than int matk kila +2 when aeolian edge spamming. Because of that you only really need one int/m atk kila +2 to use in the offhand because spamming aeolian edge at 100% with martial is far more efficient and destructive.

Honestly if you've gotten to this point where you're literally struggling to find upgrades it may be best to focus on another job for the time being and come back to thief after the next update. I too have a small handful of armor left to get so I've begun spending time on black mage and summoner. My smn and blm are acceptable because I already have good atmas and abyssites but they need magic skillups and work on gear. Nevertheless, it gives me something to play with while I wait for new thf stuff to try and get, and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Pulling is the main THF role in abyssea? Last I checked DD was the main THF role. Pulling is for support jobs or something.

Evasion kilas are nice when they do something. Normal mob have capped or close to capped misses on a nude THF these days. Most low tier NMs I dont even bother with evasion gears either. Now on higer tier NMs those Kilas are nice, can use them over evasion gear and cap out evasion on plenty more mobs. I personally have not made one, but it remains on my long list of magain weapons to make eventually lol.

But running around in an exp alliance in evasion kilas? what a waste, and were I running things i might replace you.

In that respect the other two daggers don't stack with blind bolts and feint respectively. Plus from what people told me, both their proc rate and duration don't last as long.

Honestly I'd say you're done. You have 2 eva kila's and you're going with twash/trip for DD...that seems good enough.
