I dont know how i managed to miss this little gem of a ring (yay crappy puns!). But I figured I would point it out for anyone else that had this washed away in the deluge of other new shizzer in the last few months.

Airy Ring: Lv 83
Dex 5, Chr 5.
Our DE ring has arrived!

Drops from pop mandy NM in Aby-Attowa called Nightshade. Sounds like a pain for thf oriented lowman due to near constant triple attacks and en-drain on every hit. As most things in this friggin game, mages can duo/trio /sigh.

But on teh upside its AH-able. On my server, selling 1-3ish every day and price quickly dropping. Currently 450k and 4 up so doesnt sound bad. Definite all-in-one WS ring for thf, or for the gear obsessed a DE exclusive piece while picking up the jupiter's ring for other stuff.

Today I am basically looking at what possible new gear I ahve missed that I might want since there has been so much to do lately. Need to regroup and look at anything ive overlooked. This was my 1st find and a good one!

THF/COR works really well with mage duo/trio extra guy. You can refresh and toss out QDs (even ws from time to time).
Light shot sleeps work really well in max agl gear, and can cover sleeps on mobs immune to drk sleep (or even just let the mages focus on nkes more).

well worth it imo to have this option open for lowman mage groupings.

I for one have noticed that they seem to be focusing on gear specifically for DE. I think they have realized that the level increases and crit job traits are going to heavily favor evisceration over the long haul, and they are trying to keep DE relevant. The only way to do that is to give gear with CHA on it that we would use anyway for the other stats on it like Tumbler Trunks and Airy Ring.

I've been pleasantly surprised with dancing edge post update, so much so that I think it's still better than evisceration. It was unexpected but when I farmed Manohra for my raider's seal: legs the pulse martello was often giving me level 3 bonuses (+ 30 to every stat) and with all that extra charisma DE kept up neck and neck with evisceration but seemed to be doing slightly better. Also thanks to the cruor prospector stalwarts tonics are in readily supply so I usually have a pretty high attack even when I /nin while low manning abyssean NM's. Champions tonic obviously sides with evisceration though, but as far as I've noticed it's really hard to discern which of the two weaponskills is stronger. At least inside abyssea dancing edge has kept up very well. Now outside abyssea evisceration is probably going to be stronger (maybe not even then due to having high attack), but there are just so many buffs that could be had inside abyssea that it's hard to say one way or the other.
