this isn't new info so much as advice for people who may not have been aware of the camp.

with the new trials giving 5 points for correct weather conditions, vunkerl is by far the best place to work on your 300 beasts in thunder weather. thunder weather is very frequent, and there are gigas bsts in the area with tigers for pets with roughly 1k hp. they hit fairly hard, but soloing as /nin or /dnc is easy enough. floored acc with eva kit.

edit: camp locations are (e-12), (d-12), and (j-6). also drops kindred crests should you need those.

I just stuck to the boyahda tree. Thunder plenty often, bajillions of pansy bunnies. Finished in 1 day in a few hours. Not that vunkerl is bad, just another good spot.

This. Started at 0:00 on thundersday with the full 300 kills to go. Double lightning hit and I was done before clock hit 12:00.

Weather in that region is very season-dependent.

I couldn't tell you when would be the best time to go there to find thunder weather, but you know how Noble Mold campers make a note of the game months 4-6 to go camp that NM? That is because there is more rain weather in Zi'Tah (and by association, the tree) during those months than others.

It's something to think about, anyway. If you haven't already, keeping an eye on the game date and taking magian specs around with you wherever you go can help give you an idea on weather trends in various areas.

Thirding the Boyahda Tree recommendation. Started around 23:00 Iceday because weather popped, finished by 8:00 Thundersday. It helped having a group of 8-15 people. I was astonished by how quickly I finished considering the last trial. Although yes, it will depend on luck with the weather.
