Before native DW, homam body was slightly superior when not /nin. This is just the final nail in the coffin.

It was dead when acc/DW mirke came to be when you are /nin leaving homam for non /nin times (90% dead). Then Dnc got DW (98% dead). Then Thf got DW at 83 (100% dead).

New body looks nice but i find it hard to be terribly impressed for some reason. Usually if something like this came out id be all nerdgasm, but its hard for me to care. Maybe its knowing that AF3 body will likely blow this to **** in 3 months. Maybe its that i dont have any acc issues in the slightest anymore as we are in the process of out-leveling our opponents. Whatever the case, i am not in the slightest bit excited about this piece.

I think I'm still gonna continue to Limbus to get the thing, just in the vain hope that SE will allow me to store the set by level 99.

I know as levels go up, they should probably / need to increase the stats that armor gives, but it seems like lately, evasion and acc options are through the rough. Soon enough, I don't think it will be difficult to cap acc at all unless new enemies are uncommonly evasive. As for evasion, lately just about nothing can hit me. I'm not sure if it's the new equip, the new levels, or both.

I'm wondering, too.. I would think that eventually, the attack cap at 999 is going to pose problems. Not for usual circumstances, but for instances where people are very buffed or are zerging. If they don't raise the cap past that, then this will only mean better things for 1handers, as 2h would no longer to reach the same pDif heights as they did before, assuming difficult mobs to come do have defense values where player pDif isn't capped at 999.

I miss homam. It was so ****.

I guess if THF was your only job then this was true. But there are jobs that gain far more from an ACP body than THF does and you can only have one ACP body.

Huh?

What jobs gain more than from ACP body than THF?

Ok, Pet jobs for pet enhancements. Anyone else?

RNG for one.

THF has numerous alternatives. RNG has Osode (which is really a WS piece that you also TP in because RNG doesn't get a good TP piece) and Loldogi (which is absolute sh*t).

Aurore doublet says hi. Its good but not "as good" as the ACP body, but thats the exact same situation as Thf bodies. Homam is good (and FAR harder to get than 15k on the AH) but mirke is better. Thf can also use aurore, but at that point your basically ocmparing 3% snapshot vs 3% DW for rng and thf. Both jobs are really in the same boat as far as that goes.

But yes, there are not many jobs that really DEMAND a mirke more than thf/rng and possibly pet jobs. But with AF3 bodies coming, its all up for grabs.

once next update hits, i may actually make it into that eva/fast cast body piece I was thinking about ages ago for utsu just because every DD aspect you could make will likely be completely eclipsed soon enough.

Corsair also benefits from an ACP body with a Quickdraw delay reduction combined with MAB. It's a specialized piece, but there's no other piece that can replace its function. Very useful especially if you solo mobs with the kite QD method.

I thought attack didn't cap @ 999 it just will not display any 4 digit numbers.

True dat. The menu just isnt coded with a 4th digit since this game was designed back at what 50-60 caps. 999 was literally impossible to get so it made sense i suppose. Atk goes past 999 both directly (buffed up DD war/war with zerk/chaos/red curry/minuets etc) and indirectly via atk bonus WS like gekko/man stab etc.

Otherwise, it would be impossible to cap attack on anything with ~500 def (or even lower for 2handers as they have a higher ratio cap). This was not terribly problematic before as there are an exclusive few things in the game with that much Def (though there are lots once you include def buffs......like those new lv 90+ IT to 85s crabs in Mount Z with 50% def boost up /shudder). But as we level, this will be more and more annoying just to try to measure your atk accurately without a calculator. At 99, any 2hander with some atk gear and zerk up should be scrapping 999. Toss in food, or just BEING a drk/war and you will have to friggin calculate your atk with a pencil and paper every time you do anything just to know wtf it is.

Atk might as well be a hidden stat along with acc at that point.

Ah, I did't know that. I've never been close to hitting 999 attack before so I just never bothered looking into it haha.

A taste of RNG's medicine, yummy. Us RNGs don't even KNOW what one of our best foods does (Pot-au-feu). We just know it's ranged pizza.

I AM a rng :P (need to update sig)

The fact that Racc/acc/ratk among other things are hidden doesnt excuse bad UI design. The fact that we dont know what some ranged foods do doesnt make it OK to not know what other foods do. Stupid design is stupid design. And I AM a ranger guessing at stats. I AM a drg wondering wtf my atk is over 999 when im buffed. I AM a thf that will get the now 'luxury' of having low atk so I will often be able to see it anyway.

Doesnt matter what side of the fence your on, its annoying to hide stats. Its even more annoying to SEE a stat, but just not have an extra stupid digit programmed in so the few stats that are shown dont even tell you jack.

Has a cone AOE that drops you to 5% HP and encumbers all your slots for 30 seconds.

Has "occasionally does triple damage"

Normal melee hits take 2-4 shadows

Has En-stun and en-amnesia

Either has auto-meditate or can just use abilities whenever it wants.

High evasion and DEF to lvl 85.

Moves at slower than normal speed.

EDIT:

Forgot to mention that it gives 4000 exp.
