This Triple Attack failure is a twisted dagger in a mortal wound. Dual Wield I at 83, Gust Slash IV and this fail despoil fix, it's become clear SE will not stop with these tricks.

I would put aside my pride not to despoil your fun, but no longer can I hide from the truth.

Yeah I was going to mention the director. It could mean a change for the better or worse for us, or none at all. But let's be honest, as far as updates go, can it get much worse? Probably not.

Akihiko Matsui was the battle director for FFXI. You can see bro'ski himself at ~5:30 in this vid (sorry no subs). I remember him talking in detail about all the job updates to come, back in February during vanafest. His job was specifically one of job balance. Might that mean that we'll see more focus on job balance in FFXI in the future, now that he is the director? Obviously we know not to get our hopes up. Especially if this guy was at the forefront of balance in the past. I'd like to say that there is a ray of possibility though (almost said hope), that in the absence of the publishing of new content taking up the Devs attention, the attention will increasingly focused at (proper) job balance instead. :X
