Played around a bit with different amounts of DW+, and I can confidently say /DNC has DW II by 37. I used Blau/TD(190), and started first with no DW or STP enhancements, 48 tp after 10 hits without being hit.
178+190 = 368*.85= 313/2 = 157
5 + [(157-180) *1.5]/180 = 5 -.18888, which appears to = 4.8.
I then swapped in 8 more DW and got 47 tp by 10 hits.
178+190 = 368*.77= 284/2 = 142
5 + [(142-180) *1.5]/180 = 5 -.31666, which appears to = 4.7.
So atleast for now, it isn't inferior to /NIN for DW II, but I'm assuming it's going to be a steady 10 levels above NIN per DW, so by 45 it will fall behind again.

This is very interesting. Not that I want to be anybody's cure bitch. But if /Dnc were to for some reason get DW3, then we would also have access to haste samba 90+. So tradeoff would be shadows and some subtle blow, in exchange for haste samba, an accuracy bonus (10acc), and some support utility.

I don't know what to think but at a first glance s-e seems to have given dancer dual wield a very interesting hierarchy that could make it possible. There's some testing on the dancer forms with a preliminary indication that dancer gets dual wield 4 by level 75. The methods used are solid enough (they're measuring tp gain per hit on level 1 mobs) but the sample size is too small to make any conclusions.... yet. Link is here. I'd wait until more people chime in to give a more reliable sample size (and more people analyzing too) before passing any judgment. But if subbable dancer DOES get dual wield III then that's a shock I'd have never seen coming. They only get dual wield I at level 20 and at a first glance appear to have DW II by 37 already so I'm going to follow this threads development for sure.
EDIT: Actually looking at it there seems to be a trend. Dancer gets dual wield I 10 levels after ninja and we're pretty sure it has dual wield II before 37. Since ninja gets dual wield II at lvl 25 it's actually probably dancer gets dual wield II at 35. If that trend were to continue (very probable) then no, dancer won't be seeing dual wield III until around level 55 or so. It also fits in perfectly with dual wield IV at level 75 because ninja gets it at level 65. It appears dancer gets dual wield tiers 10 levels after ninja every step of the way.

DNC gets DW at 20, not 25. So maybe:
DWI: 20
DWII: 35
DWIII: 45
All of which can be subbed. But NIN gets DWIII at 45 and they get the first DW earlier than DNC, so I don't know.

More likely the progression is like this.
DW1: 20
DW2: 35
DW3: 50
I really don't think we will be able to get DW3 from /dnc. It would essentially relegate /nin to shadows only, and I don't think that is their intention at all.

Yeah, doubting we're getting DWIII /dnc. The 45 I put up is supposed to be 55, going by NIN's pattern.

I bet they get dual wield III at level 55. This is all pretty cool. So far the update is overwhelming me though. There's too much information to take in at once. I got home with a head cold last night and only finished updating the files this morning but I'm so stuffed up its hard to think straight. What a way to spend my day off .... *sigh*. Oh well.
I had unlocked dancer before but never took to leveling it. I knew the high level exp camps would be too crowded today so I'm leveling that instead. It's a nifty little job and Blood of the vampire is up on fenrir atm. I went from 1-7 in a little over an hour with breaks to read. I've known what dancer can do and I'm looking forward to utilizing it for the next update or two. And WOW... the armor and weapons selection is amazing. There's some awesome crap in this update. They really look like they might be doing what I said I wanted to and sending us down the path of criticals O.O. That body armor with critical damage increase and a mantle with such is a nice start but I wonder how potent the effect is (and what else they might add in future updates)? And a set with haste and dex for us as well. And that hat is an AMAZING tp.... and WOW TWASTER O.O. I'm eager for more details. I can't wait to experience all this myself.
