Another Gear QuestionFollow
Ive compared gears of many theives and have mixed reviews that I want settled. Now my question is for the ws DE what type of gear is best to equip for that weapon skill? Ive seen THFs that do mix dex and acc and ive seen other THFs go with STR/DEX gear purely. Which do you guys recommend?????????

I have always mad stacked DEX (at 75). If you have the "good" endgame big dex pieces, you will find that they have a very similar amount of acc to the homam based haste sets we all use (or should be trying to get).
I think people over gear on acc for DE. All WSs seem to have a first hit (which many say counts on offhand hits) acc bonus. Its hugely obvious on some of the big 1 hit ws of SAMs, and even GS ws for DRKs. Its also pretty obvious on WSs like fastblade (2hits) if you parse a dunes party. Melee acc will be like 30-50%, yet WS acc will often be 80%+. On top of all of that acc advantage built in, DE has TP -> acc mod. I bet our normal TP overruns even result in 1-3 more acc.
In short, I use Relic/HHorDH*/heca/oily trousers/heca/cuch's/cuch's/rigas/thunder/bomblet/burtal/hollow (on evisceration I always use DH and swap hollow out for pixie).
*Both have their merits, i oft swap my decision on what i really think is better for de. I need to augment some DHs.

I dunno, OP's THF is 65 and acc below 75+merits is pretty dismal... I did a quick calc of my NIN's acc vs. colibri @ 65 and even with Sniper's x2, PCC, Life Belt, SH, etc. his acc even with crab sushi was only 75%. I imagine THF is in the same ballpark.
I have flip-flopped between stacking ATK for DE and stacking DEX. I honestly can't say which is better. One of these days I'm going to have to do a parse in a controlled environment or dig out those convoluted formulas and make a spreadsheet. Would love to hear other THF's experience with DE.

My advice is: Find a good balance in your gear for WS. Where you can get 10acc or 3dex, get 10 acc. Where you can get 5 dex or 5 acc get Dex. Its all about balance things out, giving too much acc is not good, giving too much des is not good eaighter.
I have 4 macroses for SAWS and TAWS each. Each macro adds one slot of accuracy to WS, starting from none/or minimall acc, and going up to max acc. This gove you alot of flexibilty. When you see you miss alot(or mob dont check low evasion), hit more acc macro, when you hit 10/10 or 9/10 hits, get more dex/str into it. You have all in 4 buttons so thats not big deal.
my mid acc macro for SAWS looks like this:
o-hat, peacock,snipersx2
Mid + acc macro for SAWS adds Potent belt to it. and so on.
