Grats. Althought most of the best gear is partially free (heca, homam, skadi - other than body - don't get head), or retardedly cheap compared to the 9M+ Blau Dolch and 12-18M Dragon Harnesses of olde. I mainly posted this to use the world olde.

Fortunately, I already got lots of goodies in anticipation of future THF-ness - had the abjuration for Heca hands in storage for ages, and all the city THF gear on mannequins. Brutal and suppi earrings: Check. I'm next up for many denali pieces in my Nyzul static. I won't touch any Homam til I get my Nashira top, so that could be a while, but since I don't need any other Nashira besides the top, all my points will build up for Homam pants afterward. Once I hit 75 I can lot gear unrestricted; I'm still under the "only if nobody with THF 75 wants it" rule otherwise.

Well I have another accomplishment to ring in on my thief. I've completed my 3rd piece of the skadi's leather armor set, the feet.

I'm going to finish the set for the looks. It's actually pretty stylish, and it gives me something to do with my time. Salvage is pretty fun when you have a good group. And they're pretty useful too. Compared to the 5 million gil price tag on striders or the ordeal of getting trotters to actually drop on a claim of yours, these are very nice.

Congratulations on hitting lvl 75 Catwho, now you can have fun using your dyna points on thief stuff for real. Go for the hands, bonnet and feet first

Now as for me, as luck would have it (and you all know my luck by now), I'm ready to ring in another accomplishment. On Monday evening my Arra Remnants salvage run dropped my Skadi's Jambeaux for me and I picked it up off the NPC tuesday morning. I had work later that night so I didn't attend salvage that evening, but last night I went to another run and it ended up being Silver Sea's Remnants. GG1 decided to play nice for a change and I'm now the proud owner of my very own pair of Freya's Gloves

I didn't turn them in last night because I was tired and I ended up falling asleep right after the run ended at like 2 am. Today is my day off so I slept in. I hate mornings, they would be so much nicer if they didn't start until the afternoon

But at any rate, that's a pretty nice chain of luck. I just completed two salvage pieces in two runs. I'll post an image tomorrow of how it looks with 4/5 skadi's after I get home from work.

I've said in the past that my luck seems to come in threes a lot, it's really weird. I'll have a binge of astronomical luck followed by a prolonged period of nothing spectacular happening, hen it all comes together again at once. On that note, check it out. Again my crafting luck shines through with yet another Dragon Harness +1. I went 1/2 today. I haven't made many attempts at tier 0 hq's for a while, but for what it's worth, the dragon harness +1 is one synth I CAN do. My einherjar linkshell message is in there. This just happened in whitegate before I boarded the ferry. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do this or not, but I did and it paid off.

That's how it is for me. For 3 months I did not get any good stuff. Then, Skadi feet and pants (pants from free lot and got them today) and Hope Torque, all within 2 weeks. Been doing salvage for only about a month. Back then, homam legs and body within 2 weeks of each other too.

I also just got my Anwig Salade yesterday (21 sept 2009) ^^
I went with Haste+3% / Acc+10 / Atk+5
With the Mirke I got a month before (with Acc+10 & DW+3%) I'm closer to finish my TP set :D

Have to spam Fane Baselard to get those few Accuracy number that I miss and really start to look into Salvage for those legs ^^

Edit : forgot, I win a lot on Denali Body (first nyzul piece ever, after 30-50 NM runs. Seen 4 drop overall so far :S)

Assassin's Feet and a 10acc 3DW Mirke, and not pictured are my shiny Freya's Ledelsens. Are Assassin's good for anything besides town gear?

Thinking about starting on some X's Knife BC too since I mainly use thief in endgame rather than meriting, until I get X's/Blau/Sirocco is my current combination of daggers decent enough?

I've known about that one for a while. It's a decent dagger. I once read on wiki that the wind damage is supposed to be considerably stronger than that of the sirocco's, but that info was edited out at some point so I can't vouch for it's authenticity. The biggest drawback is it's a slow dagger with a fairly low DoT rating otherwise. I'd probably use a behemoth knife +1 over it, but it's still a pretty cool toy to play with if you can get one. The reason the sirocco is so awesome is it has a delay of 150, whereas this is a delay of 201. The base damage difference between the two daggers is only 4 and that's a HUGE deal of change that weighs heavily against the palladium dagger. It's still a cool playtoy though. I'd hold onto it just for the rarity/collector's value. Even Shamaya hasn't heard of that one, so you could have some fun with it.



I think you may find it a little bit tougher than that. Buying the Neptunal head abjuration shouldn't be too big of a task in this day and age, but the N legs is still going to take some luck and persistence. Being a Niddy drop you still have to find a shell that will sell it to you, be there when it pops, have said shell get claim and have it drop. When I camped kings with her ~~~ 5-7 day window she often ended up around 3-7 am EST whenever I tried to camp, and with my luck the afternoons usually saw her spawn when I was at work. After getting my N head seeing mostly faf got to be a thorn in my side and I ended up looking towards Einherjar for the paper instead of the aery. Now I've been attending Einherjar for about half a year and as it is I have enough points that I'm all but assured the next N leg that drops for us. Even to this day I have a few choice words to Nid, but I gave up that venue because I didn't feel it worth my time.

Yes, you CAN buy N leg in the aery. It's been done before. But you'll still have to be lucky to just waltz in with the money from a sale of a big crafted item and walk out with a N leg abjuration without having to wait a while anyway.

After about 2 months of doing seed afterglow runs got a beak mantle with acc+6 str+1 subtle blow +2
Not quiet the perfect acc+7 str+2 dex+2 but will do for now.
On a side note, has anyone actually seen the perfect beak mantle?

First thing I did was to dump my long stored, and almost forgotten, merit points into triple attack, so got that at 4/5 now.

Going now to break this swordbreaker and get mandalic stab ^^ (althogh I don't have decent gear for the WS, but at least I'll have it lol)

Finally (lol @less than a week finally but whatev) beat ASA last fight. Went 1/4 on it. Just went with the acc 7 haste 3 option. Dunno if I will change them when (if) I get homam but loving them so far. Also hi2u 300k from selling bravos XD

This was a good week.

Just hit level 60 on thief, and damn assassin makes thief so much more fun. First TA dancing edge was 850, that sure as nice :)

Supple Skin finally dropped to pair with the Light Filament that rotted to me years ago before I finally decided to start my thf. Go go af+1 gloves on Sunday!

Almost got my debts paid off from the loans for my blau, so can start working on farming for my Heca +1 feet. I've got a friend who could potentially craft them, just not sure if I want to risk the crafting rate or outright buy the -1.

Thankfully he already told me if he HQs a pair of gloves that he'll hold them for me till I can farm enough to buy them at half price. Might have to talk him into doing that with boots for me too. Still trying to get my LS to do some Royale Rambles so I can knock a couple O.Ingots outta the way for Skadi's Visor.

Azoth from D.I. last night. Now to get a merit party on Thief and try out Azoth/Blau.
