What would you like to see for your job: White Mage Edition!Follow

Since the job forums have been pretty inactive for awhile, I thought I'd start a new topic in each devoted to things you'd like or wish that Square Enix would do with each job. They can be legitimate things you'd like to see, or they could be absurd, and, while they can be, they don't have to be any serious or groundbreaking changes you think each job needs, just something you think would improve them a bit in some form. Just try to keep the topic clean and drama free (emphasis on try). Just have some fun with this and let your ideas soar.

Why is the upcoming new two-hour so overwhelmingly useless? It blocks none of the really dangerous or annoying status ailments like Amnesia, Doom, etc, so there's really no need for it. It should be a full resistance for the duration of the effect for all status ailments, because only blocking "lesser" ones seems unnecessary for the most part.

- All self cast AoE buffs changed to be party target (prora, shellra, barspell etc.)
- Auspice duration increased to 5 minutes
- Barallra which defends against all elements, but is 50-75% as potent as single element barspells
- Cure VI mp cost reduced drastically and give it a +15% cureskin bonus over the other cures
- Stoneskin formula changed to enhancing magic skill x2 + MND capping somewhere from 750 - 1000
- A cure for Zombie that is on a shorter timer than sacrifice
- Benediction remove weakeness
- A 10min JA to remove weakness
- Doom to be less luck-based
- Sacrosanctity to be less crappy
- Some sort of physical damage reduction skill (since they aren't changing protect to pdt)
- Divine caress to work with accession / divine seal 'd nas

I agree, a WHM with capped Healing magic (or does it run off enhancing magic...?) should have a 95-100% chance of removing Doom via Cursna. Even subjobs should be a 50/50 chance. Bring holy waters up to a 25% chance.

I like Barlightra and darkra and the banish line to V and I like the idea I read in the forums about banishja.

Rocking Phantasy star online 2. And loving it! Hopefully sega get's it right this time. They are having a much better start this go around then Universe but still a ways off calling it a hot contender in today's MMO market.

As a career WHM with tenure, I think this job should be the end all of healing jobs.


We should have access to Hastega
If our Healing magic skill is capped , our Cursnas should remove Doom just like our other -nas remove status effects. Alternatively, we should have Doomna.
We should have Raisega
Our Erase should work outside the party
We should have Erasega
Our Cure VI should be our most efficient cure from mp cost/hp cured, hate and total hp cured aspects.
We should have better Regens than a Scholar
Barlightra, Bardarkra, Barcharmra
A Job Ability Raise for those times we are in the middle of magic agroing mobs or for a quick mid battle Raise.
Native enhanced movement speed. I'm always running here and running there to help someone.
Reviviscence should drop from Providence Watcher, Arise should be available at an npc. It's just not on par with Meteor.
Regain, the spell.

From the meleeside:
We should have access to decent "level proper" melee gear in every slot. Nothing groundbreaking, just something with some decent stats that addresses our shortcomings.

From the fun side:
Bargimpra... Warps out anyone who's skills are 75% or lower of their cap. Seriously, I'm so tired of aby melee that join an endgame event that haven't got the skill to land a hit. Every time I hear " Wow, I'm getting great skill ups here" on an NM, a part of me just dies.

YES! I completely agree. How many times have we watched someone die because we were mid-cast on Haste when they started taking damage? Haste is currently the single biggest spell distracting us from our primary duties.

I would love to see the casting range of Pro/Shell, Boost Spells and Barspells increased to at least 20.
