So I got Dagan last night, and here are my quick and dirty numbers:

(for this test)
HP: 1099
MP: 1002

These are the numbers that I got (each test done twice cuz I R tired):

TP: 101%
HP returned: 241
MP returned: 150

TP: 200%
HP returned: 362
MP returned: 220

TP: 300%
HP returned: 571
MP returned: 350

The MP returned seemed really odd to me, but I ran the second check just to make sure. I did a single test at 300% with more hp and mp gear on and I received greater returns. I'll do some more tests since the numbers seem funky, but if any of you have particular TP%'s you'd like me to do then please let me know.

And a few final notes:
It is not AoE
It is similar to starlight in that you do not hit the enemy with the weaponskill, and using it does not agro the monster (you just have to be within range to /attack it).
I am apparently the LS hippy now.

The HP/MP recover.. is based on TP and.. Max HP/MP? I'm thinking of getting a Canne de Combat myself :-)

Here's the short version of my findings:
hp and mp recovered are based off of max hp, max mp, and tp.
At 100% tp the returns are ~22% of your max hp and ~15% of your max mp.
At 300% tp the returns are ~52% of your max hp and ~35% of your max mp.

It does not appear to scale linearly, you get smaller increases per additional TP from 100%-200% then you do from 200%-300%.

All in all, makes me kinda depressed considering the massive numbers and skillchain properties I see people throwing out with their gimpryean weapons.

Data included below.

Oh, thats lovely. Not. :/
The only reason I really see it is for a time you really need the hp or mp, but the only way for it to be worthwhile is if it was AoE, or healed more, really. Idk.
But I'm still going for it, just as a plus, and the trials for it are probably going further hopefully resulting in higher dmg, i hope.

All of those MP returns, except for 100%/300%, seem like they're 10mp lower than they should be for some reason (bumping them all up 10mp makes it a straight line between 100 and 200, and a straight line between 200 and 300).

EDIT: The HP returns aren't following a straight line over those ranges either - 150->175% and 250->275% are each increasing by 11 HP less than the other increases in there.

Do a test at like 133% or so in your 1099/1002 build, please. If it's not being really weird about its steps, you should get 285/167 out of it based on your current list, roughly (and 285/177 otherwise).

Well I found some odd stuff for you.

Max HP:1099
Max MP:1002

TP:132%
HP 285
MP 170

TP:135%
HP 285
MP 170

TP:139%
HP 285
MP 170

TP:142%
HP 296
MP 180

TP:148%
HP 296
MP 180

TP:150%
HP 307
MP 180

TP:156%
HP 307
MP 190

So it looks like there's tiers, and that hp and mp tiers are different.

Okay, that's really bizarre. I'm not quite sure what to make of it, other than that filling in all the intermediate points looks like it's going to be necessary.

That's not going to be fun, because it means you need a lot of sTP food and/or gear at different values, or go /NIN and use assorted offhand weapons to "tune" your TP return per hit.
