For lack of anything better to add, I think I finally decided on my "ultimate" cure set. I've decided Roundel Earring is probably the way to go (hope this doesn't further drive up prices). Here's my logic, there are a few no-brainer pieces in terms of cure potency:
Surya's Staff +1 obviously wins weapon department.
Orison Cape obviously wins back department.
Orison Cap +2 obviously wins head department.
Aristocrat's Coat obviously wins body department.
The total potency from these four pieces is 45%. This means you need another 5% potency to hit the cap. There are several ways to accomplish this:
Serpentes Cuffs & Sabots
Roundel Earring
Tatsumaki Sitagomoro
Augur's Gloves + Fylgja Torque
Now consider the opportunity costs here (listing relevant stats only):
Serpentes Cuffs & Sabots:
Cure+5%
Blessed Mitts +1 & Marduk's Crackows:
MND+18 Enmity-8 Haste+6%
Roundel Earring:
Cure+5%
Novia Earring:
Enmity-7
Magnetic Earring:
CMP+5 Interrupt-8%
Tatsumaki Sitagomoro:
MND+2 Cure+5% Enmity-4
Orison Pantaloons +2:
MND+7 Converts HP cured to MP +5%
Augur's Gloves & Fylgja Torque:
MND+7 Cure+5% Healing+5 Enmity-2
Blessed Mitts +1 & Ajari Bead Necklace:
MND+14 Enmity-4 Haste+6%
I think the most obvious loser here are the ASA pants. The MP recovery aspect of Orison Pantaloons is invaluable, there's no way I'd give this up. The Serpentes set also seems like a clear loser, their only useful stat is the cure potency and they take up two very nice slots.
Really it comes down to what you'd rather give up: Enmity-7 (Novia), CMP+5 (Magnetic), or MND+7 Enmity-2 Haste+6 (Blessed Mitts +1 & Ajari Bead). I chose Enmity-7, especially in light of the fact that I spend so much time in Abyssea lately and Atma of the Minikin Monstrosity gives Enmity-30 which is basically all you need anyway, so any enmity down from equipment is just gravy. This puts my final "ultimate" cure set at:

Seems a little low on the haste side, but everything else is awesome. I might consider swapping Austerity Belt for a haste belt... especially with MP also seeming endless in Abyssea... thoughts?
Is it time to build different equipment sets based on whether we're inside or outside Abyssea? I could see using Austerity Belt outside Abyssea & Swift Belt inside Abyssea...
