Augur's Jaseran SetFollow

This info is second hand: They apparently come from Walk of Echoes Chamber 7, being one of the possible rewarded to the "Top 5" participants.

Considering most servers can't even unlock the tier 2 battlefields, and the campaign evaluation system sucks: don't expect to get this in any reasonable amount of time. The Serpentes set is probably a more realistic goal at this point.

Adding to the Serpentes comment, I went 1/1 on the hands and so far I'm 0/1 on the feet. I ran out of time as I'd only gone in to upgrade my abyssite originally. The Brooder NM is fairly easy to kill, a friend with uber gear has been soloing it on RDM/NIN and is 0/4 or 0/5 so far.

I'd love the Augur's set but on our server, we've pretty much just given up on WoE.

I'm curious as to how people will incorporate the Serpentes set into their various activities. For those with Herald's Gaiters, those are usually macroed into idle sets. So will people now be doing TWO idle sets, one for running around and one for idling at events where you just have to be stationary? For curing, on the hands I wear Blessed Mitts +1 and for feet I have been starting cast in Cure Clogs and ending in Blessed Pumps +1 (don't have Marduk Crackows and I'm 3/3 on Dastanas but never cared to upgrade). Getting that extra 5% Cure pot on the Serpentes hands and feet will come at a cost of 11 MND, 8% Haste and -9 Enmity (Blessed Mitts + Pumps). Not sure I would trade that for 5% cure pot.

Essentially, the Serpentes set looks like pieces for my SMN, not for my WHM. Agree/disagree?

Sorry, I meant more for curing on SMN and other mage jobs. Obviously, yes, perp - stuff on SMN when an avatar is out in between Blood Pacts.

My point was that, oddly enough, the most use of Serpentes may be in the Cure Macros of non-WHM mages that cast Cure, since the bonuses of the Blessed gear may edge out the cure pot +5%.

And yes, the Sabots do drop from Brooder. LS mate of mine got a pair.

I've just gone to have a nose around and come up with this to cap out Cure potency without the Augur's gloves. Could replace the cape with the HQ cure potency pendant. Do yell if I'm wrong...

The more I run the numbers, the more I'm thinking that hands/feet are the worst slot to give up for cures.

Serpentes set (+5)
Tatsu Sitagomoro (+5)
Orison Cape (+3)

Total: +53
That's three points over cap. There's not much to gain by swapping out any of the smaller pieces. Orison Cape can be swapped for a MND+5 cape at the cost of the Enmity-4, or Errant Cape for one more point of enmity down. Not terribly appealing, I think Orison Cape is an obvious winner. It only has 10 MP, but if you start cast in Veela Cape then 10 MP is all you can really benefit from.

Fylgja can be swapped for MND+6 at the cost of the Enmity-2. Selenian Cap can be swapped for MND+7 at the cost of CMP+3 and whatever else you put on your Selenian.

Ultimately, none of those options seem very appealing. I'm thinking replacing Fylgja with Ajari might be best, but all it gets you is some MND. I'd rather get something else, like haste, CMP, enmity down, etc. Perhaps dropping Roundel for Novia is another viable option, leaving you 2 points under potency cap but gaining another Enmity -7. Or, perhaps dropping the Serpentes set is better in order to gain the haste and enmity down from blessed. It's really hard to say. Fortunately (or unfortunately) Asura never has and never will control Oztroja[S] so I will probably never have a Roundel, so this whole thing is moot for me. I'll just keep stacking as much cure potency as I can for now. Once I get those Serpentes Sabots, I'll be at +47. Then it might be time to play around and see what works best.


As for the question about idling in Gaiters vs Serpentes, I plan to idle in Serpentes. I idle in Cure Clogs right now, so I've been manually swapping Gaiters for a long time and see no reason not to continue. Personally, I picked up Gaiters more for travel time & questing than for actual events. I do have an "oh sh*t" macro that equips them along with things like Terra Staff, so if I need to kite they will get put in.

Cuz that's kind of a given... who would not idle on them? At worse you have to separate the feet/heralds in different macros now.

OK, got lucky on Brooder and now have the full set. The cure potency does beat out Marduk Feet + Blessed Hands (I still only have NQ hands, can't HQ em for toffee). I have no healing magic skill and I am not capped at 80. This is with hume vit of 65, healing magic 281. In my Cure V gear...

The problem is that this set eats two slots for -ENM. However I am sitting at -20 for Cure V which is ok. My -ENM is fine for IV and III.

I know this is out of topic, but I saw a post about Cure clogs in initial cast. I've actually been curious if the Spellcasting time- applies beginning cast or after cast :< lol. Sorry for being a little nublet

You need the Cure Clogs on before the spell starts casting.

So far the Augur pants have been found in La Theine, there are now rumours that the Augur Feet drop in Konschtat from the Tonberry NM above Lieje. Which means the Hands may well be found somewhere in Tahrongi...

I got my Augur Brais off the Abyss-Konschant VNM T3 Hedal Satiator, so I'm 99.9% sure the rest should be somewhere in abyssea.

But.. Don't think it's possible for me :/ I do Abyssea NMs with a buncha friends but we just do lower tier NMs.

1/1 serp hands and 0/5 feet so far :( lol

Already happening in my group. I need the sam neck for a koku 5 hit, 0/34 and my entire ls has serp hands now
