Something for us to rejoice about!

With the "safe" exp camps all clogged up, exp parties are having to explore a bit more and take a stab at more dangerous areas of Vana'diel. This is good news for WHMs, because nothing helps out a dangerous place like a WHM.

I was exping with a group on RDM in Xarcabard (S), but they asked me to run to change to WHM because of 1. R3 2. Banish bonuses and 3. Better buffs in general.

Then I was with a group in Caederva Mire, and it was in an old school party with a PLD, two strong DDs, a RDM, a WHM, and a bard.

Areas with undead infestations and difficult mobs lend themselves to a WHM primary healer. I suspect we'll be used a lot more frequently in the coming months, as people explore more dangerous areas and need a solid backline again.

You are right Cat. In my mind, we never left, no job does it better. Things have come full circle. It used to be WHMs and PLDs, then it went to NINs and RDMs. And now it is back to where we started.

I had an old skule party yesterday in Bibiki Bay at the old Gob camp on the ramp killing gobs and cowraffes. What fun and nice xp to boot. Bomb Toss damage with merited Barfira wasn't worth mentioning. Getting to mix it up and cast -na spells felt good again.

I have to be honest, the best part was having a BLM standing in the back line next to me, watching his 2700+ MB's off the Light skillchains. Couldn't pull the mobs fast enough.

High level Toramas [Yes Please]. Let's get some skill back into this game.

In before debate on whether or not simply having Paralyna/Silena macros and knowing how to press them makes you skillful.

But yeah, I'd really like some higher level coeurls. I mean, nowadays, you've got people EXPing on just about anything just to be able to get some EXP; my first meripo after the patch was in Riverne A against Darners (damselfly mobs). I'm sure that some people would be willing to fight coeurls if there were any.

Knowing how to press them means little. There really shouldn't be any debate over that, not much to be in before here.

It's more about when they get pressed. Seeing a variety of mobs for XP is comforting.

I think coeurls are pretty easy for a standard, average mage. I think it's harder to fight mobs that -don't- have their debuffs listed in the log like coeurls do. Like voiceless storm, for example. Or water bomb. Or Turbofan. Or Brain Crush. Or Auroral Wind. I never have issues but many mages just don't know that they have to silena after those moves because it doesn't say it in the log
