I figure this would be a good forum to ask as far as the relationship of Elemental resistance from say Barspells or equipment compared to Magic Defense Bonus. I was rereading the group1 merit category for the barspell enhancement, and I was wondering if it means that every point of Elemental Resistance is one point of MDB against that particular element. If not, is there somewhere that might show a relational formula between the two?

They aren't really directly related, the merits just give bonuses to each one.
