Ebur Bliaut evolith augmentsFollow

Hi all,

I recently synthed myself an Ebur Bliaut to use as an idle piece. Obviously, I will be attaching one of Zirnitra's healing magic cast time down evoliths, but I was debating what to put in for the other two Evolith slots. For those who may not know, the other two slots both take "vs. family" evoliths. I initially thought I would do Undead: MAB and Undead: M.Acc. but I have since acquired an Oracle's Robe which makes those evolith moot. So I think I might go straight up defensive.

So my question is, for those working toward or in possession of an Ebur Bliaut, what evolith were you going to put into the other two slots? Some of the defensive options are Defense, Evasion, Magic Defense Bonus, and Magic Evasion. Are those stats truly worth it in tiny increments in endgame, or should I hunt for some of the new "vs. family" casket Evolith such as Resist Petrify and Resist Silence?

Thanks Pergatory. I didn't mean to imply the Resist evo are limited to family, I just meant they are classified as "filled-in triangle" which is the category for "vs. family" evo. I guess SE added them in that category to directly respond to complaints that the filled-in triangle evo were too limiting, heh. I actually think those new evo are somewhat useful. You can get "Resist X +2" by the way, +1 isn't the max at least from what I see on Wiki.

I was leaning toward Resist Petrify but you are right that Para happens more often.

As for that second slot, are you sure about Magic Evasion being the more useful stat to buff, or Magic Defense Bonus? I was leaning toward Magic Defense Bonus since that is a direct decrease to magic damage. Endgame mobs are pretty damn magically accurate and it just seems that no matter how evasive you make yourself their spells will probably hit, but MDB would be a trackable percentage of decreased damage. Anyway, let me know your thoughts though because I'm not 100% sure on what would be more useful! :)

Ah good point, without Yagrush I could see the Resist Silence being the easy winner due to this factor. With Yagrush though, I'm thinking Para is probably better, but it seems like more of a toss-up.

And yeah you are probably right about MDB being better than magic evasion. However, I was thinking in terms of helping resist ailments as well, which MDB doesn't help on. But you're probably right, MDB probably still wins.
