Hi guys, first time posting on the WHM forums i think. Been leveling it up as a sub, something i never thought i'd do. I do not dislike the job like i thought i would, but i've been bored stiff every party i've had. So here's my question. Is it worth leveling whm up to 42 for telewhoring still? i don't really notice shouts for it anymore, but i tend to ignore shouts anyway. I'm not hurting for money, but i do find myself with nothing better to do at times. might as well make a quick 1-2k per tele yah know?

It picks up when you get Haste @40. It takes a certain player to actually enjoy WHM though.
I liked being a very efficient version of RDM (which I leveled first).
I'd say the Tele-port spells are worth having, whether you need them to transport LS/party members, or for a quick Tele-whore run.

One thing to keep in mind, is that there are more ways to get around the game now. Players can pay a Silver Imperial coin and get warped around, they can outpost to all the old conquest regions, or get retraced back then use the past warp system to walk through a Cavernous Maw (Yup, you can make a little gil doing Retrace-taxi too).
Sometimes a teleport is still the most convenient way to travel though, so there's still demand, mostly during peak hours, or when a new mission or quest sends a surge of players out to one of the telepoints.
I see more shouts for Retrace now than I do for anything else. Of course, that requires BLM, not WHM, but if you're looking for something to level you might consider it. Being a retrace-taxi (as mentioned above) could potentially make you more gil than being a tele-taxi.

What's good money depends a bit on your other options for making gil.
As for tele-taxi, it's less common to see shouts for it now, but it's also unlikely to have someone standing by in whitegate (or jeuno) ready to teleport people (pretty much since a certain popular 3rd party app was ended). When you do see a shout for a teleport it's usually for a relatively high amount, to entice a legit player into changing to whm.

It should be doable. However, if you're the only guy in town teleporting people, and those people think they can still make you do your tricks for 500-1000 gil, they're in for a world of hurt.
Instead of the old 50 people paying 1k each every hour, you'll more realistically come down to 10 people for 5k each a hour.
It's doable, but it's not exactly spectacular gil. Even on WHM, you'd probably make more money just hitting up monsters and putting the drops on the AH. Regardless of level.
