Hello everyone,
Quick question: I'm currently level 37 WHM, thinking of taking it higher. Comparing these two items, which would you suggest here?
Melampus Staff: INT -2 MND +2 Cure Potency +3% (plus Lizard Strap +1)
Solid Wand: INT +5 MND +5 (unable to use strap for more MP)
Do you think it's worth camping the staff? It's an easy mob, and I'm pretty persistent when I want an item. Should I get the staff and just macro it in for Cures, or would the +5 MND on the Solid Wand be better anyway?
I just don't want to waste time camping it, if the results would not be worth it. Obviously I'd only use the staff until 51 and Light Staff. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance for any advice. Cheers! -Corso

I wouldn't worry about camping the Melampus staff, you're looking at about +5hp cured on a Cure III, which shouldn't be affecting how often you rest/someone bites the dust.
I'd just stick with the Solid Wand, as it would more useful for Slow and Paralyze.
Don't get me wrong, it'd be a nice extra boost to have for Cure macros, I just don't see it being worth it, considering how fast 37 -> 51 goes.

LOL Never mind on camping it.
Just looked it up on FFXIAH.com. Staff sells for a whole 8k.

Uh, I'd definitely buy one for 8k. While small, the boost is worth swapping in for Cures.

If you can get one go for it. But other wise don't waste time on it. You will reach 51 WAY before you get the drop for this from an NM.
However for 8k... hell yeah get that man. You are talking about an almost free boost to your cures. While this will not have any effect on your parties, it will boost your epeen.

Yes you will reach 51 quickly but with any luck you will be spending a lot of time synced in the range of 37-41 getting awesome exp. In which case, this staff would be win.
