That's also how Enspell 2s work (Enhancing does not have to be kept on for Enspell 1s), so I find it rather upsetting how Enspell 2 damage gets reset to base if you recast it without it dropping -_-
What I find even more upsetting, is that we get the lame parts of both enspell types:
Enspell 1's:
-works on all hits
-checks skill once
-damage stays the same
Enspell 2's:
-damage increases gradually
-checks skill each time
-first hit only
Auspice's Enlight:
-damage stays the same
-checks skill each time
-first hit only
-requires two buffs (JA+Spell) EDIT: Yeah we get ACC+, but it seems to only be a large benefit when your current ACC is low.
My testing has shown me very large bonuses during
low acc (in one case, minimum) situations, but then in
high acc situations
(90% or so) I didn't find any evidence of the bonus at all.
I still haven't determined if the ACC+ is a funciton of your current
hitrate value (like 50% or 80%) or if it's based on
frequency (misses/minute). Whatever it is, I haven't found it very practical or helpful in a realistic situation yet.
I can add though, that the last few times someone parsed me, the damage from
Enlight accounted for
3% to 5% of my overall damage. But keep in mind the casting time takes ~3 out of ~180 seconds from you which is ~1.5%, so in some cases you're giving up swings and the benefit isn't
actually as high ...
