Realistically, Star Wars is a pretty solid Science Fantasy franchise. Midichlorians made it more science-fiction-esque, but it's still pretty solid fantasy, trope-wise.

It's mostly that I like swords, horses and armor more than lasers, spaceships and robots.

For the record I have no idea about this, I just put in a smiley and press "post" and it goes through.

That doesn't work with all smileys I think. Some will get you the sily messages error.

Well, that's one way in which SW seems more accessible to me. You spend a lot more time, in games, on the ground, moving by foot (or maybe a speeder). And if you're playing a Jedi, it's all swordplay and the Force. Plus, the robots tend to be of the tiny, sassy variety.

Now, onto other things. This guy on grindr clearly wants the D and I don't know if he's being coy or something in taking forever to respond, but it's annoying as hell. Smiley: mad

I played a hunter for most of my WoW career and I use ranged weapons any chance I get in AC. It's just the imagery for me.

Okay, for most of it he wasn't online. But now he has no excuse.

On the other hand, Grindr is such a ****** messaging service that I have no clue if he's actually been trying to respond and just can't...

I love me some FF9, but there are two things about this game I really hate. #1, the trance system. Some of the characters you don't even know what the flip their trance DOES, and I hate how you can't control when to use it. The other thing is how when you're doing the Chocobo Hot and Cold mini game, that if you are low on the timer and you have found an object you can lose it. I think they should let you continue to dig once an item has been found, even if the timer has run out. It's bull ****.

Other than that, loving playing this game for a third or four time. I forget how many times I've played it.

I've never even played a Final Fantasy game. Maybe I should get an emulator on my PC or something...

I've never played it, but everyone seems to love FF6. I personally like FF7 more than FF8, and I'm not a fan of FF9 (though a ton of gamers LOVE it). To be fair, I don't think I ever got through disc one of 9, so there's a lot there I never saw.

You can definitely find an emulator and play FF4, which would be worth it.

Find one for Final Fantasy Tactics while you're at it. Great game. And you can get the newer PSP version.

I adore FFX, but I have no clue how PS2 emulators are. Still, though, my favorite FF game.

FFXII is fine, but it's a weakish story, and the combat will probably feel stale now. I really like FFXIII, but plenty of people could take it or leave it.

I'm playing Metroid Prime 2 first, I never got through it when I first got it due to one frustrating morph bal boss that I sucked at.

Never actually played a Metroid game.

I really hope they remake Majora's Mask for the 3DS. I adore that game... If Nintendo wants another $40, they can have it.

If you have a gamecube, wii or PC that is powerful enough to run Dolphin well you should try them. Although the story is rather minimal (no real motivation or nothing, you're just hunting space pirates) the fights are fun, the puzzles are cool and there are significant rewards for poking around every corner and searching through every nook and cranny.

It still looks pretty good too, amazing for it's age. Replay value is pretty high too since you can scan stuff for lore and creature database and the like and gather extra items and on my most recent playthrough I got to 89 and 71% respectively. There is stuff hidden everywhere.
