Meanwhile, I was an hour late for work today because of a broken-down truck in the worst possible spot (the road already goes from 3 to 2 lanes there, creating a bottleneck. Today it went 3 to 1).

So much wasted gas.

On that note, I really need to move. I could go somewhere on the train line, so if I find a job in the city, I can commute from there. But a big part of me would rather commute until I find that job, and then move into the city. I pay so much in gas right now, that the actual increase to accommodate rent + a metro card wouldn't be too hard, even if I take a paycut. My needs are relatively small, cash-wise...

And speaking of pharmacists, thank god my doctor gave me a 3-month rebate on my antibiotic. It's $70 with insurance.

That's true. But my daily drive is essentially like going from Amsterdam to Cologne.

And you don't even live in a empty state...

Exactly. People forget all the time just how big the US is.

And Digg, I didn't realize you lived that far away. I thought you just were dealing with a ******** of traffic.

I mostly meat that as there aught to be work closer to home. There are probably people who drive 100km+ in the Netherlands to go to work, there's just not many of them and it's awfully expensive to do so.

It's only a matter of time before you'll be able to go east for work on a floating city of sorts.

Or up because New Jersey has flooded.

Newfoundland will be destroyed by tropical hurricanes.

To an American 100 years is old and to a European 100 miles is far away.

Then we can get rid of war by having each nation register and enter a giant mecha and they can fight it out tournament style until one is left.

Also, the Pacific Rim soundtrack is amazing.



Also, this concept instantly made me imagine each city having mech technologies based off of different anime varieties, like Gundams vs. Jaegers, and it was awesome.
