Well, baldness is generally inherited from the mother's side of the family.

Although I'm not entirely sure, I don't think my granddad on my mothers side started balding any earlier, he still had most of his hair when he died at 72.

Find an outlet for your stress? That's the best I've got anyway, I've got one uncle on my dad's side who is very close to bald despite being 5 or 6 years younger than my dad and the biggest differece between them is that my dad's brother bottles up everything ever and is continuously stressed as a result.

Either that or rock the badass bald and beard look.

Oh. Smiley: banghead

For years I've had salt and pepper, but with that touch of almost pure white some of us get at the bottom of the sideburns. Turns women to putty. Then they scan down and go, "Oh, excuse me, my cell phone is about to ring."

You look good there Aeth. A handsome Dutchman. There has to be more to the story about cutting your hair though, no?

I've seen guys turn that into a look. You know, shave and polish. Or, buzz cut with a goatee. Or, buzz cut, three-day beard, and well groomed stache with shades. Or of course, there's the tee shirt that says, "My Tongue is Six Inches Long and Four Inches Wide" - that'll bring all the boys to the yard.

Not really, I've had long hair for almost half my life and I wanted a change and if you do something, do it right. No half assing by going half long or whatever.

Leather pants and harness, bald and beard (and chest hair!) and aviators. Leather police hat and hankies that say you like BDSM and fisting are optional.

Um, yes.

41% of the adult population is overweight (BMI >25).
13% of the population is obese (BMI >30).

That was from 2010.

Hell, I'm borderline overweight according to my BMI value (24.4).

Not a big fan of BMI, though. I'd need to drop 20 pounds to reach the middle of the scale, which means I'd have to lose muscle mass... Smiley: disappointed

BMI is a useless tool for anything other than large groups.

Also, the reason you don't see obese Danish people is because there are so few Danish people to begin with.

Yeah, BMI is more of a "god dammit everything else involves way too much math to be practical so here" type of tool.

I'm technically just into the overweight category now. I'm 184 pounds. But my body fat is only 15.9%, and my muscle mass is 54.7% (as of earlier today).

So by BMI, I'm just into the overweight range. But by bodyfat percentage, I'm in the healthy range (and only about 2% above the mean).

But this also doesn't take into consideration the healthy ranges for my build (I'm relatively stocky, so it's normal to carry some excess fat).

Hah, just read this on a Dutch news site: a girl hired as intern at a new museum will continue as director in charge of the whole museum.

She won some sort of competition to intern as a junior manager and both she and the museum liked that so much that they're hiring her full-time to replace their current director (who, at 72, was the oldest museum director in the country).
