I'm at a conference about Fetal Alcohol Syndrome for the next two days. This is going to be extremely depressing.
Where is the conference? Aspen? Maui? Playa Blanca?

Nope.

Also, it turns out I'm a lightweight now. I haven't really drunk much at all over the past year. And I'm a whole lot lighter now on top of it. I had a very heavy buzz going after one glass of wine last night.

Granted, I was starving, too, but that was interesting.
Wooh cheap drunk!

Also, my order of fancy beers arrived today Smiley: inlove

Hawaii is amazing for a month or two.

Then you've done everything worth doing three or four times, and most of the stuff not worth doing twice.
mm hmm.

At the end of the day you're stuck on a little island in the middle of nowhere.

Atlantic City, so it's as depressing as it could possibly be. I hate going to conferences here... At least this one is in the convention center, not a casino, so it's less depressing.

I know, it was so weird. I used to have a pretty high tolerance, too.

The weirdest part is how fast it hit me. One second I was fine, the next I was buzzed, and then suddenly I was very buzzed.

That must be expensive since just about the only beers I've seen in 75cl bottles are fancy brands.

We've got some 100cl versions of our "regular" beers.

Of course we do.

Yeah but you're a bunch of drunks.

Also, they have some of that here but it's always gift packs that are awful and overpriced.

Anyway, I just read that there are less calories in pilsner/lager beer than juice, semi-skimmed milk and wine. Knew it!

Also, I'm going to try out one of the special beers my aunt and uncle brought with them. 13%, though, so I'm going to save it for the weekend.

I got decaf coffee because it was 50% off and I've been craving coffee before bedtime and those cravings lead to me waking up at 3am.

I didn't even want to drink any coffee until last week. Smiley: mad

I'm ALWAYS craving coffee. Even if you hand me decaf, I'm going to want to drink it.

Silly people, decaf isn't coffee. It's the water that your houseplants don't absorb.

Calorie content for beer is all alcohol (roughly 30 calories per % of alcohol in a 33cl beer).

Also, which beer did they bring you?

Eh, I drink my coffee for the caffeine so decaf is rather pointless.

It's like going to a stadium when nothing is happening that day; like no concerts, ball games, etc. It's still a stadium, sure, but that's not really why you go there in the first place.

If I have more than 1 mug of coffee (and 1 caffeinated fizzy drink *or* 1 cup of tea) in the same day I will feel weird all day.

Thus the decaf in the evenings now.

kali; is it weird to scp to A then ssh to A, run script test there, then scp to B from A, then ssh to B from A? all cause i remember the local passwords?

also coffee is better than fizzy

fizzy has the uber sugar

coffee can be taken black, no sugar no milk just caffeine.

as a side note: vim Smiley: nod

a year ago i never...

Schwartzbier is cool, kind of weird but cool. It always takes me a while before I start accepting the combination of colour and taste though.

If I start to drink more than 1 cup of coffee a day I need to drink coffee every day or suffer nasty headaches...

On a sidenote, I forgot my coffee this morning. As in I made it then left it to stand under the machine for 2 hours wondering why the coffee hadn't kicked in yet.

How does one forget to have coffee?

You're crazy. I spend my entire morning looking forward to my coffee...
