You should probably go do something else so you don't give yourself an aneurism.

Also, have you tried playing Borderlands 2 yet?

edit: oh and games/series/books should never start messing with alternate timelines if that wasn't the plan from the very start, it pretty much never ends up well.

I don't mind alternate timelines as offshoot content. I do mind it when you treat an alternate timeline as a central part of the plot.

For instance, a series of alternate timeline dungeons that are established as alternate timelines that are part of the Bronze Dragonflight attempting to learn more about how the Infinite Dragonflight operates? Fine by me, because the events of the alternate timeline don't matter. They're just trying to learn from it - the time equivalent of running computer simulations.

But traveling to an alternate timeline to bring Cairne back from that timeline to replace the dead one? That's weak. It diminishes the value of the central plot.

And not yet, no. I'll get there, ha.

[EDIT]

And fortunately, I don't care so much anymore. It annoys me, because the Warcraft IP has some awesome assets and the writers just keep making stupid decisions, but I'm so disconnected from the game now that my issue with it is purely from the "Wtf are you doing?" standpoint.

Oh god, according to Bodhi they're not quite retcons because it's an alternate universe.

This is a cinematic that's the past events of "35 years ago" in an alternate timeline. Not like he's causing an alternate timeline by going back in time, he's actually traveling to a completely different time stream. It's not like he changed something and time branched.

That's just awful.

I asked Bodhi to clarify, because I haven't been following the story since it was apparent how bad it would be. I'll also probably stop posting about it here, since there's no point in derailing our boredom when there's a thread in the general forum.

As far as I can tell, and as I commented in that thread, Bodhi's wrong. It's just the standard "Person goes back in time and makes changes, causing a split" kind of thing.

It's sad that I would actually prefer the last two (three with WoD) expansions to turn out to just be one long dream sequence for Garrosh.

And I'm not kidding. And I HATE dream sequences.

At least it isn't Sins Past.

Which doesn't exist and is a vile rumor and you can't prove it.

Speaking of things that don't exist, I really wish they made an Avatar: The Last Airbender movie. Though, I guess I could see why they didn't, it would conflict name-wise with the movie Avatar.

They should really do that.

Speaking of things that never happened, I actually learned the other day that M. Night actually wasn't to blame for the movie that doesn't exist being so bad. He was overruled on casting decisions, and the script he saw when he agreed to do the movie was later so heavily revised by people who had never seen the original series. And apparently Nintendo was really pressuring everyone to rush, the Producers knew nothing about the series, etc.

Eventually, M. Night just gave up.

I've got BL2 and am up for making a new character or some other action/rpg/shooter kind of thing. I'm not really sure what's out there as far as co-op stuff goes.

edit: oh, I would prefer to play something that looks or can be made to look awesome. Don't have this shiny PC for nothing after all.

My problem with BL2 is that I love it, but I have it for xbox which means I can play it on a 90 inch screen, and don't really want to buy it again anyway.

They removed the glyph that makes Savage Roar passive. First they bumped it from a talent to a glyph, and now the glyph is gone as well. **** developers stomping around on my dreams.

Edit: Since armor will change stats when you switch specs in WoD, it looks like I'm back to Guardian/Resto. Meh, nice change of pace, I suppose. Been a long time since I ran Resto.

because I don't have a 90 inch screen to play with on my computer, because I have a couple friends who already have it for xbox, so I can play with them, and because I always play shooters on consoles, because for me they're fun as party games rather then playing by myself, which is the point of the console.

They're bringing back Dream of Cenarius, so it'll go back to being the old "cast a heal to make your DoT more powerful" crap. Can't be bothered with something that retarded, and the new cat form is ridiculous, and Savage Roar still exists. Easier to just go heal/tank. No LFG queues, more loot, less mashing of buttons to compete with others for first place in the deeps race.

A combination of a critical lack of self awareness and a teenager who didn't dare tell the woman she was too f*cking fat to ride the thing. Other than that happening last year I can't remember any lethal accidents. It's more dangerous to drive your car.

On a sidenote, the coasters with only a lap restraint had belts and signs that said you can't ride the coaster if the belt doesn't close. I thought that was a nice way of saying people are too fat.

But you live in NYC, I'm pretty sure you're more likely to die because you've lived in the smog and whatnot of NYC for years than in a freak rollercoaster accident.

I found a list, 26 deaths in that list which include such stellar actions as "Decapitated by the passing train while either retrieving a lost hat or taking a shortcut to lunch", which requires one to climb over a fence and ignore the many warning signs saying you'll be killed if you enter the area.

Both. Wife lady likes to drive. It's her car we own. Me, the only reason I even have a license in the first place is because the military considers it a "mission critical" piece of equipment.

The list also includes "Seat constraints unchecked by staff," which from my understanding tends to be part time minimum wage not quite out of college yet kids. My biggest issue is with the "hurtling hundreds of whatever metric for speed you subscribe to per hour through space in a thin piece of metal" part of it. Not the most lovely memories. Add my distrust of heights and hours of Rollercoaster Tycoon and this theoretical prospect and I'll risk jail time before getting into one.

I like my feet on the ground, or at the very least being able to preoccupy my mind with reading, gaming or sleeping.

Holy ****, I can't believe I waited so long to watch Maleficent. What a gorgeous adaptation of the Sleeping Beauty story. Not a giant fan of Angelina Jolie, but ****, she rocked my world with her portrayal of Maleficent in this one. I've also played enough RPGs to find her horns, wings, angular features, and weirdly green eyes oddly attractive.

I mean, am I the only one who's a little turned on by that?

Anyway, loved the movie from start to finish. The following contains spoilers, so don't read if you haven't watched the movie or read the synopsis on Wikipedia.

Refreshing with a movie that ends on a happy note. I've been forced to watch stuff like The Expendables 3 just to balance out the amazing amount of sad movie endings out there lately. Loved how, instead of good king vs. evil witch, this adaptation is more of an anti-hero story. 20 minutes in, I thought for sure it was going to be one of those tragic consumed-by-anger stories that end with a heroic sacrifice (see: Darth Vader), so I was happy to find out that it wasn't.

If you're into fantasy movies, Angelina Jolie, and/or horned women, you should watch this. Also, special effects up the wazoo.

The outfit has a bit of a BDSM/********** thing going and the character isn't very nice either so maybe it's just that you like dominant women? Smiley: tongue

Also, getting back to the what to play thing, Divinity looks pretty cool. Although I think it's only up to 2 player multiplayer?

edit: reading some reviews about the game I reminded myself of why you should never venture into the comments section of a gaming site. A huge discussion on how the promo art being changed after negative feedback on the original was censorship and the evil works of feminazis, a year after the art was changed. Apparently loosing out on one metal bikini armor image is equal to oppression and discrimination or something.

Know what would be cool? If hotels weren't so freaking expensive. That would be really, really cool.
