It's currently men in tight suits racing 10km in about 13 minutes (so almost 30 miles an hour).

They sound sufficiently caffeinated.

I don't think they need caffeine with all the adrenaline surging through them. Also most of them try to get a nap in a few hour before race time.

Cantillon Lou Pepe Framboise is one of the best, maybe even the best beer I have ever had. Now I do love raspberries very much but this is an absolutely amazing beer. Gorgeous pinkish red colour too.

There is a special place in hell for people who make boxes for cases of beer without handles.

It's a pain in the *** to have to pick up a lot of boxes when every third one doesn't have handles.

There is also a place in hell for companies who don't put UPCs on the top of heavy cases of soda or beer. I'd much rather have to just shoot the top of the case with my scanner gun than have to pick it up and slide it across the regular scanner. Or roll it over on the side to use my scanner gun. It sucks.

But on the plus side, I only have to do this **** for another two weeks. Smiley: grin

Your post got very sexy for me after that first sentence. something something roll it over on the side to use my scanner gun something something. Nice.

And does this "But on the plus side, I only have to do this sh*t for another two weeks." mean you got that job the guy in line told you to apply for?

most cases of beer here are sturdy plastic ones with two handles in the side and one in the middle. Of course you do pay €5 extra for a case but you get all that back for handing it in with 24 empty bottles. The cases are always stackable too so you can figure out a way to carry lots without a car as a student.

Also, gratz on thd job Pigtails!

Edit: This is now one of my new favourite bands. I love the singer's voice.

Merry New Year and Congratulation on Baby Jesus's Birthday, or something. Gone for 10 days and only 100 new posts. Slackers. All of you.

They changed my mobile service provider over the holiday, which was a little awkward, because I did not have the new SIM card on me. Was locked up in some Swedish cabin when the phone was all "No service, anymore. Merry Christmas, dumbass!"

So rude. Smiley: frown

How you guys doin'?

Yay pigtails. Smiley: yippee

And I'm here, kinda. Coming off the worst flu or whatever it was I've had in a good 20 years or so. I think I'm finally over it, still a bit weak though, probably because I've barely eaten anything in the last 10 days or so. Smiley: rolleyes

Welcome back Maz, gone on holiday for Christmas?

And the whole forum has been less active than a morgue over the past week. Too many people passed out from the holidays I think.

Yup, as long as my background check and references come back good, which they should. I went ahead and gave a tentative two week notice, so they're not putting me on the new schedule being written today, which starts two weeks from yesterdays. My interview was a week and a half ago, so I really don't expect a background check to take more than three weeks. Especially considering I've only lived in three states.

Also, I've had a really emotionally tumultuous last few days. I'm so done with these roller coasters.

I can't speak for everyone else, but Christmas/New Years is one of the busiest times of the year for me. Like, alleged "breaks" are in no way relaxing for me.

Days leading up to Xmas were super busy, and then nothing was happening after so I didn't really have much to say. Smiley: lol Particularly not with how slow things were going.

Holiday season is just a bad time for forums, people have better things to do and if they don't nothing is happening so there's very little to say.

I'm just getting some cheese for tonight. And duck, tasty duck. I might even buy myself a little fireworks since the government keeps talking about banning it.
