1988, yes. I spent most of the 90's reading mythology for fun, playing with LEGO and watching Jurassic Park and by the late 90's when I was old enough to find out about the guy and maybe learn some English the only thing I cared about was playing Magic with my friends.

Edit: also Pigtails, cultural differences between European countries are pretty massive so a comedian that was big in Denmark may never have made any impact on the Netherlands or France or any other EU country.

The huge scene of Franko-Belgian comics from the 70's and 80's for example were translated into many languages and distributed to the Scandinavian markets but they were muh less often translated in English which is why you poor fools are still without translations of most of Franquin's work despite his comedic genius.

The Jerk, and Planes Trains and Automobiles. Smiley: glare I think it was about 1988 where he sold his ability to pick scripts for immortality.

My favorite of his will always be Father of the Bride. I watched that movie so many times as a kid.

I was just talking about this movie with a guy I work with. It is a great movie, and I love Martin Short's performance in it too.

Planes, trains and automobiles should be a tv show where they just never get home.

Good luck! Try not to seduce whoever is interviewing you unless you want to have sex with your future boss written in the contract.

A mating call here? That's a dangerous thing, unless you're fairly open-minded.

I wish I could order a pizza, I miss pizza. Also Lolgaxe, could yyou ship over some pizza makers from NYC to make good pizza in the Netherlands? Just about the only American style pizza that is any good here is Domino's and you guys have pizza makers who can blow that out of the water coming out your nose.

It was a WarCraft 3 reference.

Can't believe I made a WC3 reference while drunk.
