Why? Something you ate (bad Chinese food?)? Stress over Early Access?

Dunno. I'm inclined to say that that how badly I've been sleeping for the past two months has just found a new way of manifesting itself. Being a night person, but working a job that requires me to get up before dawn, has definitely been taking its toll in general.

Funny you say that, because I keep re-learning this lesson. I recently went through a period of about three months where I was sleeping 7.5 to 8 hours a night. It was easier to maintain my diet and exercise and I felt damn good. My wife even noticed an increase in energy and commented that I was knocking things off the honeydo list at a faster rate (think of a slope decreasing at a decreasing rate).

In the past couple of weeks, I'm back to 6 to 6.5 hours a night and I really feel the difference. My wife actually asked me this past weekend, "are you becoming depressed?"

my "bad Chinese food" reference: this guy kind of explains it; Sam Kinison and Howard Stern

I'd blame that XIV beta. Once it's 24/7 you'll get your sleep schedule back in order. Especially once the new car smell wears off.

Ha, I think the 3 hour commute is probably the biggest culprit, overall.

I could not handle that. How can you do a three hour commute? Is that at least round trip? Because otherwise you're driving almost as much as you're working.

Yeah, round trip isn't too bad, but that isn't one way, is it?

When I worked in Raritan (sp?) it was 70 minutes each way for me and I thought that was a lot. Then I went back to school and commuted to Manhattan. That was bad -- 90+ minutes each way if I made my connections, two hours if I didn't. I learned to work on the train surrounded by aural distractions (still can't pass up a shiny, though).

Round trip, thankfully.

I wish it was public transportation. I'm quite proficient at tuning out other people. And since I read for pleasure anyway, it wouldn't be so bad. But driving 3 hours a day is killing me (mentally, physically, and financially).

I've started listening to short fiction podcasts (EscapePod and PodCastle for the most part). But the rate at which I'm going through those is alarming.

/shrug

It's the first job I managed to get after graduation, so it wasn't exactly my dream location/position. I just passed the 6-month mark, though, so I'm in a better place to look for something more permanent now.

If I had a three hour commute, I'd spend that whole time singing. But I know not everyone is into that.

I wanna see a porno sometime of a set of male twins together. That'd be hot. Such a thing probably exists, but I don't like **** enough to look it up.

Male twins incest, male twins and a gal, or...?

Because I'm positive male twins with a guy exists, and I'd be shocked if the female version doesn't.

I'm also sure the incest version exists, though I have no direct knowledge of such things.

Hey, occasionally they get a good show.

hence the most

out of the ~10 prime time hours per network they are lucky to have 30 - 60 minutes of good show a week.

which would indicate that ~90% of their programming is crap

i consider commute time part of my work week. so for example i work a ~48 hour week, with ~10 of that as travel time.

even though i'm on salary i use the at work + commute time to get a rough gauge of my hourly wage.

hence the sub 40 at work hours in a week

Even after Mary Kate?

Also, rumor has it that one of the Olsons is going to play Scarlet Witch in Avengers 2. Emily, I think her name is?
