That might work for normal people, but I suspect I'd attract some visitors from HR, if not campus security. Smiley: frown

If you have a door opening inside "accidentally" put your desk against it so it can't open.

Alternatively, an elaborate setup with mirrors that makes it look like you're not in your office.

Or a trap door behind your door so you can send people down a slide to the basement.

I like this idea. Think I'll have a talk with facilities. Smiley: grin

A cheaper option, since you work in a hospital you should be able to get some warning signs that say CONTAGIOUS or something so people won't dare to enter your office without protection.

Edit: also, a slide to the parking lot outside may be more practical as it would save you time on your commute home!

Kinda creeping me out, guys.

I'm watching this right now:

And they've mentioned Macklemore just as I read the posts above about Macklemore. And now they're talking about glandular fever, which is highly contagious according to TB.

Oh God. Valve finally ended up putting out their Dota 2 Halloween even today.

Turns out they were working on a major update to the game, and intended to release the Halloween event with it. Well, they suck at planning, and realized that the Halloween event was delaying them horribly, so they canceled it and worked instead on getting the major update out the door in a reasonable amount of time.

The internet was not pleased.

I've never seen such an entitled group of neckbeards before. /r/Dota2 was screaming, people were bombing the Metacritic score for Dota 2, etc.

Valve ended up caving, and reincluded the Halloween update with the major update. Both just launched today.

The irony? The servers have been down for 2+ hours now since the update (when there's normally no downtime). This is hilarious.

The internet is never pleased.

Except when dealing with pastel ponies. That was a bit weird.

Not even then. A significant portion actively hated the show (and especially its fans).

I prefer my men have beards that are groomed. Neck beards don't bother me, but I'd prefer it clean shaven. Too much facial hair is always better than none though.

I always have a full beard. I don't even know what my face looks like without it now, because the last time I saw it I was 40 pounds heavier. Smiley: laugh

Meanwhile, I had to scrape ice off my car to go get coffee...

No ice here yet, it's staying between 5-10°C. I've got to keep on the lights in my house though as the sun barely reaches above the trees if it isn't covered by clouds and rain.

Oh, right, you're way further north than us.

And it's been around -2 - 5C for much of the past week. It's NOT amusing.

I feel really bad for lolgaxe. Our winters often get warmer than this, yet it decides to plummet in autumn when he's outside...

Well, some of the fan base deserves the scorn. It's a cartoon, not a freakin' life-altering experience.

That's reserved for Tales of Ba Sing Se.

It's also because my house has one wall that's mostly window but the roof extends a couple feet past that and there's lots of trees around. It's pretty terrible for letting in light.

And temperatures right around freezing are the worst, it's better to get some proper ice rather than the half frozen mush you end up with everywhere with those temperatures.

Fortunately, the one day it was snowing, the ground wasn't cold enough for it to stick. It was really coming down though - made my commute a pain in the ***.

In other news, I really want to get my first tattoo. But I'm really freaking hairy, and everything I come up with probably wouldn't work in any area of my body I'd want it.

[EDIT]

I may have complained about that here already, but I don't care. It's really annoying.

I think you pretty much have to be gorilla kind of hairy before tattoos become pointless. If in doubt you could always ask a tattoo artist for advice (/r/tattoos has a bunch so you could even ask there).
