Yeah, Fox almost didn't air Glee either. They showed the Pilot at the end of spring, and the ratings were bad, so they almost didn't do the rest of the half season they had produced. Thankfully, they did another showing of the Pilot halfway through summer, and it got a lot more of an audience then and developed a cult following.

Glee is awful television. There are no high schoolers that look and act like the actors in that show. Their music taste is also nowhere close to what any high schooler has anywhere in the country.
High schoolers are retarded. I would know, I coached them for years. I had a kid ask me who Tupac was, and AC/DC. WHAT. THE. @#%^.
Also, my love life is fun. An insanely hot girl I work with is flirting with me like crazy.
