Unheeded Warning getting nerfedFollow

#1 Aug 05 2011 at 5:35 PM Rating: Good
We all knew it was coming, there's no surprise here, just a heads up that the UHW proc's being changed from 680 white damage to 1900 attack power. It's been hotfixed on European servers already, US ones will be coming soon.

I'm amused by other classes gloating about Druid tears while all the druid responses are "what tears? We knew it was going to happen. We've been pointing Blizzard at it to make sure they would nerf the trinket and not the class."

Well yeah, but that doesn't mean that this is going to be the end of the nerf bat swing.

I really appreciate them taking out pieces of gear that very much seem mandatory despite being leftovers from a previous tier. Just hoping that for once they'll look at their logs for a couple of weeks now to see if that change had the desired effect, rather than just hotfixing something to shut up the whining crowd while the real nerf is still being coded...

The latest nerfs to druid abilities came with the "scales too well with gear" reasoning, and I hate to see them saying something very similar about that darn trinket now.

Every bit of feedback I've seen from Blizzard has been that they like where feral is at the moment, but that trinket was a problem. The current PvP "ferals are overpowered" shtick is heavily influenced by people not knowing how to fight them rather than an actual class imbalance. Do you have evidence that they're considering other action or just fatalism?

And what "latest nerfs" are you talking about? Feral got a buff.

Can't find the blue post. Was a couple weeks ago about the trinket already being on the radar and everything else being looked at too.

Wait, people are worried about Ferals still?

What about the Mages/Hunters in crappy gear doing my kind of damage? I know 5-mans don't mean sh*t at the end of the day, but it's frustrating as hell going into a heroic 5-man as the one in the best gear and then getting roflstomped by Death Knights, Mages and Hunters in PvP gear.

Also, Cat aggro is ridiculous. Ran Heroic Vortex Pinnacle with a Hunter who refused to use Misdirection and despite being almost 5k DPS below him, I was the one pulling aggro non-stop.

I joke that getting 2T12 is a dps loss because I need to bind Cower to every button.

I actually had to add Cower to one of my macros (I'm out of keys). I find that unless I wait 20 seconds before engaging every boss, I will have to use Cower around the time I apply Rip.

Really, why give Rogues and Hunters a redirect? Both have aggro dumps (Feign Death and Vanish) and don't have near the TPS of (but much higher burst damage than) Cats. I just don't get the reason.

I can't even spam Swipe on trash anymore, unless SI is up or I'm sure the healer has my back. One trash pull in VP, I pulled aggro through two Thunder Claps and AOE Rend from the Warrior. I had to pop SI and Berserk and crack open a can of Swipe spam just to drop the mobs fast enough to prevent my death.

Something's wrong when a class has to increase its damage output to avoid dying.

Cant talk about Cat aggro, but Cat dps on raids are ok. Not perfect, could be a bit higher, but its fine.
My raid group has 2 moonkins (me and another called Whysperr) and a feral dps. The feral one is usually there with the melee. Sometimes he has the upperhand, sometimes not, but I usually see him where the melee group is.

Here, look for Rocknickez on these fights. Most he is feral, though on older ones he is Moonkin.
