If there's anyone here. I know someone out there has to play a warlock besides me. I've seen you in battlegrounds and the like, so you aren't fooling me. Smiley: tongue

My main spec is destruction PvP. It's not the FotM spec or anything right now, but I got addicted to Shadowfury it last expansion and haven't been able to give it up yet.

Off spec is Affliction PvP right now. However I've been hopping between that and a Demonology soloing build and a Destruction PvE build. Now that I have the glyphs for all 3 it's not so bad, but wow those re-spec fees add up. Smiley: oyvey

So what do you play?

I've been affliction pretty much forever. I just love it. I try out the other specs every once in a while after big changes but I always find myself going back to affliction eventually.

destruction is my prefered spec of choice, especially for BGs.... but sadly when it comes to pvp i'm doing 3v3s and a defensive affliction spec seems to work best...

I am trying out Demonology right now, but I miss Affliction terribly. Something about the DoT and run away method just suits me.

32/3/6 Affliction for all things PvE, 5mans, 10mans, 25mans, it's all gravy.

Affliction here too.

I have a destro spec but haven't really been able to make it work. If I really struggle with getting timings exactly right I can match my affliction dps but don't have nearly the mobility or constant life-gain so . . .ya, I really haven't messed with it too much.

I played as destro through nearly all of Wrath too because affliciton was just such garbage dps on anything but bosses.

I don't pvp and never really have so can't comment on that I guess. Though I would assume the drains would make affliction far more valuable.

the max potential output difference between top dps spec (affliction SB spec) and lowest (demo spec) is barely 1k dps. with destruction and affliction: drain (even after the DL nerf) coming out pretty close to aff:SB, so really it's personnal preference which to use in pve. I keep on changing specs, though my prefered choice is pretty even between destruction 3/7/31 + glyphs and aff:drain 32/7/2 (yes i know not the most conventional aff:drain spec choice, but it works very well I find and the benefit of not having to worry about reapplying UA during DS in the execute phase makes up for the 4% SB damage).
Currently though my offspec isn't the affliction spec but rather demo for sinestra ^^ 10% P3 best try, so she shall go down soon :D

I really don't know if I like the idea of Demo. Actually, what I find weird is that it lacks the kind of interaction that Unholy DKs and BM Hunters have with their pets.

A lot of beef with Demo is that it has no flavor of it own and your pet comment strikes true to that idea.

I also have an issue with the fact that the Felguard isn't the pet of choice for Demo for single-targets.

Been going back and soloing wrath stuff with Demo. The spinning Felguard is humorous.

you can solo normal lvl.85 5man instances too as demo. I've done the first few bosses of stonecore numerous times to try and farm that mount.

I've been using Affliction while leveling and questing, and using Destro in dungeons. I know at 85 Affliction does pretty well, but leveling dungeons things die way too quickly.

I should really try to get back into Warlock. It never really clicked with me, but the class has changed so much since I last tried to level one.
