When was the addon last updated by the creator? If they haven't released a new one since before 4.1 then it will have parsing errors as they changed some lua with the patch.

I'm using Grid, so can't help other than keep looking for updates. Maybe look over on wowinterface as well.

Healbot's web site is at http://www.healbot.info

Latest version is 4.0.6.5. The entirety of the release notes follows:

Quote:

4.0.6.5 removes libQuickHealth in preparation of patch 4.1

You will also want to have a look at the forums where someone discusses what needs to be removed before installation. Apparently, just downloading and installing as is without deleting the old version, your cache and WTF folder leaves things behind that cause problems.

I'd probably wait until he gets out a 4.1.X or something but there it is.

Healbot was too slow being updated for 4.0, so I switched to VuhDo and haven't looked back. They're similar ad-ons.

You can get the 4.0.6 version to work just fine by doing the following:

1) Delete it completely out of the interface/addons folder.
2) Delete the WTF folder.
3) Log into WoW then log out.
4) Re-install Healbot 4.0.6 into interface/addons
5) Load out of date addons.
6) Re-setup healbot
7) Heal away!

It will then work fine without the massive FPS drop it currently has without taking these steps.

Yeah I like Vuhdo a lot better. It's just so much more customizable. I usually am either using Vuhdo or Grid+Clique. Healbot is just meh in comparison.

Actually, I was a Grid user for years before I used Vuhdo. I've just come full circle and gone back to my roots. I've added Clique, so I can easily clickcast.

I use XPerl to position my focus (tank), target of focus, my target and target's target directly above my grid frame. That way I can smite away at my tank's target, as well as cast any healing spell on my party easily within grid. Grid really does allow a lot of customizability. I use grid icons on center and corners. I can show dispelable affects by coloring the health bar the way I like, show icons, agro, threat, incoming heals. I show icons for Shield, Weakened Soul, Grace, Divine Aegis, and renew simultaineously, as well as raid and other debufs.

As we have discussed before, many healing setups work great. Just find the one you like. Right now, I'm very happy with my current setup.
