There's no real need to optimize specs anymore--you'll go through everything ludicrously fast in any case. Instead choose how you like to play.

I'm partial to the "run around, dot everything, laugh maniacally" style, so Afflic would work well. Or Demo, because you can get more stam and a VW to grab the things your dots are killing. :P

In any case, everything's gonna die in a few casts anyway.

Some stereotypes:

Affliction: DoT and kite
Demonology: Pet-tanking
Destruction: Mage-like nukes

I leveled the whole way so far as destruction. The nuking was rather weak until I got chaos bolt though. Of course this was pre-4.0 so here's your grain of salt...

Yeah I decided on affliction. figured my hunter was already a pet class and my mage did the nuking.

Now I have a warlock to figure out how many mobs I can DoT up at once and still live.

So far the record is 4 and that's before I get Fear or Howl.
