It's just this darn irrational and addictive fear of grammer *****. Well, that laced with a little PTSD from high school English classes. *shivers*

I still fear using the word 'that' in a sentence...

Lol, the grammar ***** on Allah (like me) stop once your post is legible. L337 speakers are the ones that need to die. And high school left me with a fear of commas and "but." :P

In other news, I'm enjoying boomkin. But still suffering from some of the "useless talent" issues. Because my Starsurge crits for 1.2k... I can kill an elite in just a few casts. >.<

But the spec at least has built in variety. With my kitty, it was always Rake>Mangle>Ferocious Bite (well, maybe 2 mangles... maybe).

But with my boomkin, I'll sometimes be using Wrath, sometimes Starfire. Whenever I enter an eclipse state, especially Solar, I grab a bunch of enemies with Insect Swarm (or MF) and let Thorns destroy them as I laugh maniacally. :D

It also taxes my brain SLIGHTLY more by making me calculate my power in reference to my spells.

I'd need less, I stopped editing except for horrible spellings/grammar a long time ago.

Before or after the 5k or bust deal?

Careful, they might bust that deal retroactively if they find out you've been padding the count. Smiley: sly

Wait, isn't this..?

Crap, I thought this was the Bored Druid thread. I'm not really seeing straight right now. Had some after work brews. And some evening brews. Just finished off with some late night brews, to be honest.

I'm going to bed. Stop derailing stuff, Brisin, god! Smiley: oyvey

Woops, typo.

Hmmm....I almost lost the staff from Halfus to a hunter last night. Sense prevailed and he gave it to me as Mastery is not too good for him and it is our best (secondary) stat.

They wouldn't let a warrior roll on their bow, so why roll against us for our weapons!

I thought Mastery was the best stat for SV Hunters?

My Theo sense is tingling.

Nope, Hunters don't like Mastery right now. It's tied with haste in last for MM, and either tied with haste or worse than haste for SV.

What, worse than haste for SV? I thought SV went haste until a certain point and then stacked mastery?

Did something change?

Edit: EJ puts mastery last or second to last as well. Makes no sense, I could've sworn it said something else a while back.

It makes sense. MM's mastery is pretty weak. A % chance for an extra auto-attack? :/ All kinds of lame. Apparently, mastery is only making up like 10% of their damage.

Which isn't horrible, per se. But it's worse than everything else. By buffing your Agi, you make everything stronger (including WQ shots). By buffing crit, you make everything stronger (including WQ shots). By buffing haste, you make many things stronger (and get more WQ shots). By buffing mastery you... get 1.5% more WQ shots per point.

Why wouldn't you just buff crit by 1%, considering it affects everything? :/

As for suvival, I honestly have no clue:

1. Explosive shot (random WoL person-- 22.7%)
2. Cobra shot (21.4%)
3. Auto shot (13.1%)
4. Serpent Sting (9.6%)
5. Improved Serpent Sting (9.4%)
6. Everything else.

Mastery should be buffing a lot of that.

I can only assume, since Survival's mastery doesn't have a strong bonus (1% per point), that things like crit and hit are beating it because they just apply to more of the damage. If the bonus was higher, they might like it more.

[EDIT]

Actually I think it does make sense.

Hit is more important, as the bulk of their damage comes from an ability with a 6 sec CD. Plus, they use shots that need to connect to restore their focus, so they can use more.

Crit takes 179.28 rating to get 1%.
Mastery takes the same.

So that 1% to crit buffs all their damage by 1%. The 1% to mastery would only buff some of their damage.

Haste wouldn't be as good, but it only takes 128.x rating for 1%, so you get more bang for the buck to make up for the difference.

So the problem is that Wild Quiver sucks and Essence of the Viper doesn't buff by enough per point.

The thing with haste and mastery as SV right now seems to be that it varies in importance depending on some breakpoints or something.

Kinda like Resto Druids and haste vs. mastery, which I think is funneh.
