After playing my Mage (vanilla), Shaman(TBC) and Rogue(Wrath) as mains, I'm currently using a Warrior tank as main,
and just started to hit the Raid instances (Just Magmaw down at this point)
loving it so far, although I do have some trouble finding reliable information on some subjects.

with my Shaman and Rogue I could just come here or visit Elitist Jerks forum to find an abundance of information/answers, but the Warrior forum over here is pretty much dead :( and EJ isn't really helpful either.

what I wanted to know is; should I aim for 77,4% avoidance (102,4% with shieldblock active) and gem/enchant for Stamina passed this point, or should I just aim for as much Avoidance as possible (at 82,75% raid buffed now) and have a little less Stamina

and, does anyone know any good warrior forum/site/source out there they use?

If I don't fail at linking, this should be me

Don't reforge Mastery off gear when you can remove hit/expertise. You have one piece with Dodge/Parry and reforged the Parry->Mastery, you should of reforged the Dodge to Mastery. Dodge/Mastery pieces with the Dodge->Parry reforge is good stuff, I like that move.

Overall for reforging you should take from haste->crit->exp->hit first and push it into mastery or parry, which ever the piece doesn't have favoring Mastery unless avoidance is 'too low'. For Dodge/Parry pieces Dodge->Mastery. Parry/Mastery pieces can be left alone. Parry always wins over dodge from Hold the Line.

Use the Puissiant gem for blue sockets and yellow sockets. Cause Mastery is hawt and you don't need the extra health of a straight Stam gem. Enchants look fine and dandy. You could go Armor to hands if you wanted.

Also at the available gear levels hitting the 77.4% avoidance level isn't going to happen, as block isn't avoidance and crushes don't happen anyway. Pushing Crushing Blows off the table was the reason for hitting that mark back in Chocolate. It is no longer valid as they have, for all intents and purposes, been removed from end game content.

So you pretty much just push Avoidance and Block, let the Stam come with gear, combo gems and the few enchants with Stam tanks still use these days.

There are no good warrior sources I know of these days.

Also use /advanced over /simple for Armory links. They're better.

Thanks for the fast reply Horse,
it all makes a bit more sense now :)

about the dodge>parry on some of my gear, I noticed my total avoidance went down a bit from getting more parry over dodge after about 15% (probably due to 'Diminishing Returns') so I tried to keep parry at 15% when buffed, turning the excess into dodge instead.

or will the benefit from hold the line be worth it taking some DR?

will change some of the gems into puissant ASAP,
this should free up a bit more parry to reforge back aswell..

Try and keep Parry a bit higher than Dodge, just don't get to carried away with stacking one over the other. When in doubt more Mastery always works.

Use this to help do reforging.
