Hey guys,

Just wondering how many of you are using Rawr at the moment in its current state as a page on the EJ site?

I'am finding it a living nightmare to work out how they work things out, it was a much better idea as a standalone program than to integrate it with EJ.

For example as an Engineer I'am looking at making the Bio Optic Killshades as with a couple of haste cogwheel's in there and the Ember Shadowspirit for meta its looking nice for me as Shadow spec.

I currently have the Crown of Emfeebled Bodies which according to Rawr has a rating of 404.15 as dps, the Killshades sit at 354.18.

Now to me the shades are a ton better, Rawr saids even the Fireweave and Emberfire Cowls are even better than the shades.

So can someone explain the logic to me as I'am just not seeing it.

Ta.

Haven't touched RAWR since 4.0. There are just too many variables in everyone's DPS rotations.

If you can figure it out I'm sure it will benefit you, but it might just be better to examine your gear and rotation carefully and play test it going by numbers of Damage Done in boss fights (or simply by watching your pure DPS on Dummies for burn phases).

As far as your Killshades question, it might not be calculating your Gems correctly. Even when it was a standalone program, I've had it give me funky answers when it came to Gemming. The INT increase should help solidify it as a solid upgrade (although the secondaries will be close.) Also, are you sure you want to do Hastes?

Rawr has always been just "meh" for shadow priests, and as of yet the shadow priest model still hasn't been fully updated to 4.0.

I really recommend not using it.

Instead, I highly, highly recommend SimulationCraft.

This is the program that the guys over at EJ use for theorycrafting. This is the program that spits out the magical stat weights.

It shouldn't be too hard to figure out, but reply if you need help setting it up and I can write a mini guide sometime tomorrow.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the help, I downloaded SimulationCraft and will have a good look at it later tonight.
The EJ guys lose me a bit with all the math so I'am trying to find something that will tell me in english where I currently am and where I can go.

Haste is good for Shadow, I'am hit capped so Spirit is just a back up on the Cogwheels in case I upgrade a piece of armour and lose some spirit/hit on that.
I'd rather be a bit over than a bit under the cap.
I usually sit around 18% on hit.

Plus Haste is really the only thing the Cogwheels can give me that I can use, if there was an Int. one it would be perfect but there isnt.

I'll give Simulationcraft a go though, it has to be more accurate than Rawr that has tbh turned out to be a piece of rubbish.
Any advice on it though would be great :)
