I have been putting off playing the numbers game until now, mostly because the rest of my guild is slow and I hit 85 well most. Now that I have started messing around on the spreadsheet and looking at Aethien's work here all I can think is wtf did they do to us.

Now granted I have just started leveling my shadow priest and havn't looked into any other classes to much, but do any other classes have such messed up numbers as us? I am almost to the point of throwing my hands up at it and waiting until my guild starts running more and hoping the numbers balance out.

Nope! He is a grizzled old orc weathered by time in the wild with a cool white braid. Was my main in BC.

So first heroic I do today I get SFK. Can't see crap and stairs pulls with all kinds of LoS breaks lol. Was still fun and we plowed on through.

I finally hit 329 ilvl. I have yet to run a heroic and haven't even ran all the dungeons yet. I try to wait for guild runs since right now I don't feel like dealing with stupid people during runs.

And they will be stupid. I did some pug regs on my hunter this week and most pugs still think aoe facerolling is how things get done. Poor healers lol. I got all the heroics done on my pally with a guild group. We were patient, we figured out strats, and accepted our wipes when we messed up.

All in all heroics are getting a bit faster now that we know all the pulls and don't talk about the CC. Tank marks them up we each know our mark and we take care of biz.

Switching from Ret to hunter today was interesting getting used to trap launcher. I overshot the mob a couple times after our shammy hexed first.

I'm actually not 100% certain of what I will main yet this xp pack. Giving the hunter a try this week to see how it feels but I still took my pally to our Bastion of Twilight raid. There is just so much raid damage on Halfus. I might miss my self heals from Ret on my Hunter.

But I suppose when my guilds healers get a bit more geared I will not have to rely on my self to stay alive as much if the tanks miss an interrupt on the shadow pulse or I am getting slammed by the Proto Drake.

Have you started any of the new raids yet Aeth? We are just getting our feet wet this week. Got Halfus to 40% tonight and I think we can take him tomorrow, just ran out of time.

Nah, I'm not raiding yet. Mainly because my guild only has about 8 active people Smiley: tongue (And that's AFTER a merge that doubled our size!)
If/when we get to enough people to raid we will but we only want people who share the same attitude.
That said, EU people should come and say hi to us.

As far as PuGs, I did a LFD heroic last night.
Entered halfway through the first boss of Tol'Vir so I start dpsing.
People soon start dying, including the healer who then types in /p "we should avoid the green things on the ground" Yeah, no, really? I thought that was obvious after this many years of WoW.
Another try, healer dies and in the end everyone but the warlock dies before the boss, followed by applause for the warlock by the tank. (Not that the lock did anything but dps so not sure why he deserved applause).
And on to the Next boss it is, I check recount after a thrashpull went bad and noticed the DK doing 3.8k dps so I kick him which causes the tank to leave as they're buddies.
New dps, new tank and I notice the tank is from a certain failguild on my server plus he only has 123k hp... oh boy. He says he knows what CC means though so that's one thing.
We manage to kill the croc boss without too many hiccups and we only have about 6 or 7 mana breaks and 1 wipe during the trash leading up to the next boss. (Appaently the tank knew what CC was but wasn't quite sure how not to break it)
There the dps manages to pull the one trashpack I had hoped we could skip during the fight and it's a wipe. We kill the trash and get back to the boss.
Where there is then yet another wipe, this time because the tank is happily letting the bird hit him in the ***.
And that's where I left before I died, I'm sticking to guild groups with people who are not retarded for now.

Lmao, yup thats pretty much how it goes. Many of the heroic encounters are virtual 5 man raids now and require actual coordination and tactics. There are people from my guild I don't even trust to come with us.

Ranged guy pull the pheonix over to the wall out of the way and burn it until its an egg. When it rehatches burn it again then switch back to the boss. Orange sunbeam on head is bad move your ***. When he seperates us from our body tank will kite the shadow phoenix. Thats a heavy damage phase. Help the healer out by eating a cookie, potion, gnome jerky until we come back out to normal. Repeat live side.

And thats a simple fight. Who wants to explain that to puggers though who are 5 sec's away from tunnel visioning the boss until they die from fire.

I don't think pugs will ever be able to do the second boss in BRC in heroic as it stands. Block beams on two cultists in a rotation until you have 70 stacks and swap out. Let your stacks drop off and swap out again.(Karazan anyone?) Kill the free cultist when it transforms into a dragon and for the love of god interrupt his slow casting "Ima kill you now for 100k" strike. Burn the boss while maintaining the swap rotation on last two cultists. Ohh and if you let your stack get to 100 you transform into a dragon guy and kill your party.

Maybe I should make macro's to try and teach stuff like that to pugs. It could be my lifetime mission. Johnny Pugteaching Seed.

When we run with a guild group we ignore the phoenix, it's damage isn't high enough to bother killing it.
Second boss BRC beams can be done by 1 person each unless dps fails.

Yup. Both those two ways are doable. My "for a pug" explanation just allows for a slighter higher margin of error.

Anyone know of an addon that would let me move my focus bar or give me another focus bar that I can move? I have seen them in some of the videos I have watched, but I have had no luck finding it myself.

Well my newly joined raid guild is having some "change of management" issues, and some have left to form new guilds and blah blah blah. Sigh.. I need a change.

Hello new Realm, PvP, and Hunter (Goblin, ftw)

Also, I had to turn on the deny guild invites in the interface menu. So... many.. blind... invites.

Courteous request whispers get a courteous response.
Blind invites stay open for two minutes while I continue prospecting (after all, if he waits one. more. second. I might accept...).
