I can't believe it. I haven't felt this squishy on my mage since soloing stuff in Silithus during Vanilla. I could get an add or two and die at any moment unless I pop a cooldown. I have 40 something thousand health, and if I don't control my mobs, I take a beating like I had 2600 health again.

It's freaking great. Smiley: yippee

It is nice, and is also part of the reason why I transitioned from arcane (which was great through 82) to frost (almost 84 now) I will say: I MISS FROSTBITE :-(

I agree - Levels 80 - 82 were simple as all heck, I was taking on 2 or 3 with ease, never even dropping totems at times, but this was done just in Vish'ja and Hyjal.

But then I hit 83, the mobs went green so I went to uldum - wow what a difference. A simple little hyena and along comes a pygmy and I'm paniced to hit the cool down on my lifebloom for a little haste and healing.

I've actually had to use malestrom to get an instant heal vs. either a damage spell or let it just wear off.

It's alot of fun.

I've started pulling with Frostfire Bolt, myself, just for the snare.

Is it a stronger snare than what frostbolt offers or are you leveling as fire?

If you're talented in frost the frostfire snare is 70%, so I now pull with that as fire or frost :D

Ive returned to WoW this weekend after quitting halfway BC. (started launchday)
Have to say i like the new talent trees and the reason that mage is returning to its glass cannon status had me jumping of joy. (wich it was in vanilla but lost in BC)
In WoW ive always had a "wrong relationship" with the mage class, i would play other classes but in the end always come back to her lap.

The vanilla world that has changed is the main attraction for me.

Sob story:
The main reason for picking it up again is because a good friend of mine had a stroke (at 30) which paralyzed half his body (left side), he can move around and use his left hand a bit now, WoW is a nice way to spend time with the fellow since he cant go out anymore.
So hes a "clicker" all the way through but he cant help it :)
For me just a matter of pouring all my gaming hours into WoW, which i havent got a lot anymore since ever ive found out RL has superior gameplay.

Half my friends list was still active and isee a few familiar faces around this forum too, WoW does go on forever :)

Feels funny though running around in BC epics (done up to black temple in BC) on a non-epic flying mount (was always terrible at saving gold) ive got a lot of people gathering around me in Ogri the first day, looking at me like im a living museum, which is funny.

And leveling as frost now till i get my bearings and i still have to find out how dual spec works. Went from raid leader to total noob which is also quite funny.
