As an Enh. Shaman I dual wield. When I have a slow, high dps axe and a fast, modest dps dagger which should be in my main hand?

Always slow weapons.
Maybe things have changed, but I remember reading a DPS analysis back in Wrath, maybe more towards when Naxx/Ulduar was relevant content, that showed that in order for a dagger to beat a 130.2 DPS weapon (130.2 is the DPS for The Key, the baseline DPS for iLevel 200 weapons) with the good swing timer of 2.6, the dagger (with it's swing timer between 1.4 and 1.8) had to do like 231 DPS or something like that.
So yes, stick to slow maces/axes. Hate Rogues and Warriors for being able to use swords.
