Shammy DpsFollow

Listen, I have a friend who plays a Shaman, and he is bugging me about the new patch, and about which spec offers the higher dps in 4.01. Now I don't play a Shaman, and never have played a Shaman, so I don't know what to tell him. You guys know which spec has the higher dps? Thank you for any help.

Generally speaking ranged DPS is a bit easier and versatile. I haven't heard complaints about either spec though. At this late stage in the expansion it doesn't matter and will depend on the fight, what you feel like playing, and what gear you have available.

I fully agree with the previous posts.

I have tried a shammy many times and used to go enhance but now have finally found that elemental suits me more as most of the classes i enjoy are ranged .

Try each tree out for a level or two and see which you have the most fun with as each tree can do excellent dps or healing can be done depending on which you decide on would be my advice.

I think the tree changes were not to make things easier for players but more to make each tree unique so to anyone hating a tree no matter which class then at least try another tree and you may find its far more fun.
