Searing Totem questionFollow

Hello Shaman forum, been a while.

For Enhancement Shaman, Searing Totem is supposed to be a big deal now, yes? With Lava Lash getting buffed when used in combination with Searing Totem I'd imagine it would be. Problem is ... I can't get my Searing Totem to do, well, anything! I put up Flame Shock on my target, and the Totem just sits there. Is it just bugged at the moment, or is there something else I'm supposed to be doing?

Ah ok, thanks for that :) I've mostly been leveling some alts and figuring out my Paladin's Holy Power, so haven't been too extensive in my Shaman testing yet.
