I saw another hunters pet the other day just sitting thre in Dal. and it would randomly howl occasionally. Anyone know where to get this doggy? It looked just like a regular light grey wolf. I looked around abit on petopia and other places but couldn't any specifics about it.

Um you need to be a little more specific than that. You sure it wasn't a shaman in ghost wolf form? Or it could be something that might not be tamable anymore.

If I'm not mistaken, Furious Howl has a sound effect that *GASP* sounds like a wolf howling.

No, it wasn't a shaman. Like I said, there was a hunter in dal with it running with him, he would stop occasionally and the pet would sit and scratch like any other dog-type pet but sometimes he would sit up and howl at the moon. Hmm. Not all wolf pets do this much like not all cat pets roar. Only specific ones have the animation.

I think any of the wolves with the regular wolf model (not worg or Northrend wolf) will do that. There's also the barking wolves from Mulgore, that bark when you click on them--the howl is just an idle animation though, I think.

Hmm, I'd have the check that out. I guess my wolf is actually a worg, the Frostwolf from the AV battleground.

They're all ugly. They need an update.

If I were an allie I would try and tame the oil stained wolf.

You can get it as Horde, too--the first hunter I ever saw with that one was a troll. Just takes some coordination with an Alliance-side buddy.

Yeah, I know you can do it with the help of an allie buddy, but I'm on a pvp server and don't have any friends on my server allie side so most likely someone would try and help me but a jackass would just camp me and ruin it all.

I hate you. I wish I had that one too.

Why are all the coolest pets untamable?!

It's a good thing. I would have liked to to have one of them too, but seeing how ANY wolf was THE pet to have in Wrath, there would have been way too many people running around with exactly that model.

Instead I am getting to see it only occasionally, and feeling a little envious is alright, especially at times where everybody is wearing the same armor and has the same weapons.

Thanks, yes it's an idle graphic. I'm currently running with the armored doggy from one of the HFP dungeons but now with the patch I think I'll be grabbing a bunch of different models.
