This is a beta video I found on MMO-Champ of a ret pally dueling a hunter pet.

It seems to confirm my theory that BM is going to be pretty op. Now I don't think pets are going to be this strong when Cata comes out, they will most likly do something about this. Still funny enough to watch.

That's awesome. I can't wait until cata comes out. Hunters appear to be really fun now.

I really hope that when that paladin lost, the 300% damage increase from retribution aura wasn't still in place (Damn, those times were fun)... that would make me sad. Not that a pet killing a paladin without the 300% damage increase all on its own without even losing half of its health is something to be happy about.

What are you talking about? Hunter pets should really be able to solo pretty much anyone and anything. Smiley: grin

Maybe in a fantasy world full with weird green creatures and floating outland-ish islan - Owait!

Why doesn't he stand and fight instead of running around like a chicken with its head cut off?

Because he was trying to make it look way more overpowered than it probably was. I'm sure he could have easily fought back, LoH, stuns, whatever pallys have and easily defeated the pet.

Or they just wanted to show how much damage a pet actually did with a KC crit.

Hey guys,
I'm on Beta, and yes my fellow hunters BM hunters ROCK. They definately can be used in pvp or pve and pretty much match or pass MM or SV dps. It is amazing that blizzard is finally bringing pets back into the hunter's ******** Plus with +Mastery Rating on items you can increase your pet's damage output, and since all classes get it on their gear, Blizzard is basically giving us treats to enjoy. :D

The have done this in both BC and Wrath. BM was on par with the other two to begin with, but fell behind as the expansion picked up.

All the numbers have been adjusted anyways so this isn't happening anymore and I doubt a hunter pet will be able to solo anyone half decent.

Well, in BC BM was the best for pretty much the whole expansion barring having one SV if there was enough melee.
