I just won my fist Battered Hilt tonight. Since I mainly tank with my pally and since I rarely tank anything else than heroic dungeon, weekly quest and VoA 10/25, That's my chance to get a ilvl 251 weapon. Is it worth it or should I stick with my Falric's Wrist-Chopper and cash in?

Go for the gold. You can do whatever you are doing right now just fine with what you have, and an upgrade would already drop from Marrowgar, the very first boss of ICC.
There is no tank version of the Quel'Delar. You could possibly use the 1H agi version for threat in heroics, like I did, but even that only lasted a few months before I got a 264 weapon out of ICC.
