Hey all, kinda need your advice regarding today's raid hit/expertise mechanics. (Just took up WoW again, and the last time I raided was during the Nax days of Wrath)
Read through couple of entries in the forum, including Theo's compendium, and was wondering about Hit/Expertise...
Based on my understanding of the mechanics of hit/expertise in Wrath:
- sufficient expertise to ensure 0% dodge from the bank of raid bosses
- sufficient hit to ensure poison cap
Does the above still apply in today's raid ?
Right now, my char has enough expertise whereby the stat log shows 0% dodge chance. Also, I currently have 433 hit rating (still below I presume), whereby
- 0% miss chance on special attacks (yellow)
- 6.77% miss chance on spell (poison)
- 17.39% miss chance on normal (white)
My assumption is that I need to gem for hit to ensure 0% miss chance on poison. Is it correct? I discussed with couple of my friends and read some forum/blogs... but some people are saying that its not worth gemming hit/expertise no more, rather do agility... I have a feeling that its not true, but would like to check with more rogues.
PS: I'm currently spec into Combat ^^
